Chappell ...THe coach

Is he really a good coach? As per me his strategy are not working. He is experimenting and we are lossing. I think about time to get rid of this coach.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the coach...... its our players that have flaws.....

Yes there are some effects of coach

1. Always pressure of being kicked out of team
2. You dont know ur role in a match
3. there are two sides one supporting him and another not.....

His biggest mistake was removing Saurav from captains position

My formula to set thongs right is as follows ...

1. Keep Rahul Dravid on as captain
2. Appoint Sourav Ganguly as coach
3. Appoint Kapil Dev as specialist bowling coach
4. Appoint Gavaskar as specialist as batting coach

Voila

Why are people bothered about cricket much????

What do we get seeing it ??

Just waste of time??

Indian MP's have no work.They are so foolish that they are discussing cricket in Parliament as if it is a life and death issue.Chappel such a headstrong fellow a coach for these headless players!!!

Chappell ...THe coach
Coach is someone who works on improving player's ability to play better cricket. Here, Chapple is dictating the team composition, batting orders and calling every shot off the field leaving nothing for captain and senior players to control. Hence the whole concept of "Team India" that Ganguly developed has collapsed and we can see that by body languages of players on field. The irony is that the Ganguly was the one who originally insisted to get Chapple as a Wright replacement! Anyway, hopefully by now Chapple should realize that this "musical chair" type of experiments are not going to work on indian players' psyche, and these young bunch of inexperienced bowlers, who are truly below average, require a special bowling coach.

Yes, His experiments are not working. Coach is the base of any team. Bad performance of playres does have a say in it. It is influence of the coach or his strategy that can atleast make team perform better. He is not able to coach our team . Plus he is very arrogant and rude person too. It is not because we are lossing but it is worst performance ever by our team too , that we are seeing.
Time to pack him up

John Wright was a far better coach than Chappel. But why to curse only the coach, look at individual performances. Their carrier graph is so short-spanned. What's the big thing after Sachin-Sourav-Dravid?

Abhijit ji,

Replacing one non-performer with another one is not recommended.

There are a lot of non-performers in the team and Greg Chappel is probably last in the list.

1. The BCCI and politics. Consistent performers in Ranji are not given chance in favor of performers of the past who are not performing anymore. When somebody is given a chance the Damocles sword is always hanging. One bad performance and the person is kicked out. When a player plays under fear, you do not expect the natural play from that person. Playing in domestic cricket is a far cry from playing international cricket and therefore a newbiew must be given sufficient chance to prove himself/herself. Not evcerybody is Azharudding to hit 3 straight debut centuries.

2. Sehwag/Tendulkar/Kaif/Jaffer... The batting lineup is an utter disaster and the entire lineup needs overhowling.

3. Pay policy: The BCCI should adopt the pay-for-performance policy with clearly defined metrics.

4. Lack of money Money in Domestic Cricket: Nothing can replace this long term strategy. The domestic cricket should be made more lucrative/competitive. Better pitches are the need of the hour. We have only a very few international quality pitches (e.g Mohali, Eden Gardens, Wankhede etc.). Rest are very old and still favor spinners which are not the norm elsewhere. Creating more cricket academies and provide more rigorous training to the upcoming stars.

Coach cannot do anything about aby of the above.

Indian team is going through a(very) bad phase... every team faces at some point. ok india loosing we wil digest but loosing in this fashion uff give a break ...Reagarding Guru Greg at one point he made indian players to walt on there toes and i think before west indies series they performed quite well.
firstly BCCI should know what plans Greg is having for worldcup. if like this experiments mean world cup dream will be like sitting and discussing KANK movie. They cannot remove him unless the contract is over.

Devil views: Since india played quite well against australia long back people are telling he is thinking negative. and when a batsman is not performing (irfan pathan) he is regularly sending on No 3 slot.. irfan pathan was the bowler who destroyed australian (in begining of his career.. abt John wright .till now under Greag indian played 53 ODI and the camparison is same.
