PART 27

All eyes were on Arnav and Khushi to get a reply from their mouth. Akash and Dhruv were helpless though they were trying to think a way to get out of this but it was all over. They had to accept that the truth is out.

Mamaji : Why are you both silent?

Arnav got enraged by his words. He was trying to calm down his nerves and explain them but his mamaji's words just woke up the beast in him.

Arnav: Yes.. She is my LEGAL WIFE dammit.

The moment he said this, the whole family were like lifeless statues.. Arnav and Khushi are married already?? How is this possible.. Khushi's eyes were wet.. She always feared of this day when the family would come to know of her and Arnav's marriage which was without their consent..

Arnav was still looking in his Mamaji's eyes.. He so felt like getting his Mamaji's truth before the family the same instant..

Anjali: Married? You mean when Khushi came here to stay with us in this house, she was already married to you??

Arnav didnt answer that.. And he was only poked once again by Mamaji to give a reply..

Mamaji: Yes Arnav.. Answer everyone .. You cannot stay quiet now..

Arnav was damm angry .. The Man who himself was hiding such big cruel deeds is asking him to open up the truth?

Arnav: You are the reason I had to marry Khushi in London.. (His eyes still on Mamaji and his face was clearly revealing how much angry he was at the moment.. )

Khushi and the other family members were shocked.. How can Mamaji be the reason for him and Khushi getting married?

Shyam: Saale Salab.. Dont Blame others for your mistakes.. You think we will believe you in this?

Mamaji: Waah Arnav bitwa.. Waah..!!! How can you pull me into this? You went to London.. You married this girl and got her here.. And you blaming me for it? What kind of a Son you are?

Arnav's anger had reached peaks now.. He couldnt digest any other truth inside him.. If this topic of his and Khushi's marriage was out, he would have no reasons left now to hide Mamaji's truth from the family..

Arnav: What kind of Man you are Mamaji?? I never knew you can stoop so low for Money.. !!!

Mama's face was worth reading after hearing such words from Arnav.. What did Arnav know about him which made him say all this? Has he come to know the truth?? Hope not, he thought..

Nani: Chotte.. What is wrong with you?? How can you talk to Manohar like this?? He is elder to you.. He is your Maamaji.. Dont point finger at him for your mistakes..(Saying that she held his Hand making Arnav turn his face to her but Arnav was in totaly Beasty mood now.. He shrugged her hands off his and walked a step towards Mamaji..)

Arnav: (Coming near Mamaji): Now are you going to open up the truth or should I?

Mamaji was already sweating.. He had never seen this kind of anger from Arnav that too for him.. He started stammering..

Mamaji: T...T..Tru..Truth? Which truth??

Arnav: That you Cheated Mr Shashi Gupta in his Business only for some Money..!!!

Khushi was shocked.. Did she hear him saying that ?? How can he point Mamaji for ruining her Dad's bussiness.. He did it .. Not Mamaji! Or was she wrong this time? But how come mamaji got into this ? She stood there highly confused of the entire situation..

Mamaji knew the Cat was out of the Bag now.. if Arnav was pointing him meant he had enough evidence to prove his words. But he still gave a chance to himself and started denying..

Mamaji: No Way.. Why would I cheat Sashi?? And that too for Money?? Arnav bitwa .. You have got some wrong information this time.. (He said looking everywhere else but Arnav)

Arnav (Catching Mamaji's Shoulder and making him look at his face): Really Mamaji?? Say that in looking in my eyes.. (His voice was enough for Mamaji to realise today was the end of his cruel secrets..

Akash and Dhruv looked at each other.. They couldnt understand whom they needed to believe today.. Their Bhai or their Father..

Arnav: (Turning back to everyone ): I know no one here is ready to believe anything.. So I dont want your minds to oscillate between the truth and the Fake.. Khushi's father Mr Shashi Gupta and Mamaji had some business tie ups.. No one else from our family knew about this.. Even Khushi was unaware of this though she was active in their business. That clarifies Why Mamaji always had to visit London for some of his Work.. Shashi Uncle's health was not good those days and Mamaji's eyes were twitching seeing his wealth, his Business property and much more.. Since Shashi Uncle had no son and Khushi being their Only daughter, Shashi Uncle was somewhere scared of his Business getting in some wrong hands.. So intially he planned of asking Mamaji to take care of it.. But then I Guess he started understanding in a matter of time, that Mamaji only had eyes on his Money and he would only ruin everything after his death.. Not trusting anyone at that point, Shashi Uncle finally chose his best Friends Son, ME, for this.. And hence without even letting me know, He transferred his 50 percent Shares on My Name.. May be he felt it somewhere that I wont let my Mamaji to do anything wrong with the Gupta Business or Gupta Daughter, Khushi.. I had only met Shashi uncle twice in some Business parties. There cant be no other reason that he transferred his shares to my name.

Arnav then looked back to Mamaji..

Arnav: But my dear mamaji didnt knew it that the shares have been transferred.. He was still in the greed to get it all from Shashi after him and when this didnt happen, Mamaji joined hands with Shashi Uncle's Secretary Eddie to get everything back .. He and Eddie together planned a lot to get the Gupta Business into much Loses and before that could happen, I reached London... Me meeting Khushi there was a pure conincidence.. I wish she would ever believe this..(He said looking in Khushi's eyes which were still watching him and understanding him).. Just for helping Khushi to come out of such troubles, I married her legally and got her with me as I doubted Eddie would harm her there.. Till then even I didnt knew Eddie and Mamaji had joined hands.. But later after Eddie was arrested , everything came out and here the truth is..

Khushi was listening to all this with ears wide open but nothing was reaching her brain as she least expected Mamaji to cheat her father. What was the need for him to cheat her and her papa ? She had n number of questions but she remained to quietly watch the scene than creating an uproar.

Nani and Mami was the ones who were shocked the most. So where the Gupta Family especially Madhumati and Shekhar who felt bad for their brother's helplessness when

Anjali : Whats all this mamaji? I cant believe this. Chotte'. Please are you telling the truth ?

Arnav : Yea di.. Even I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that the person whom I respected like a father could stab behind my back. What the hell was your motive Mr. Manohar Raizada? . I have enough proof and evidences with me. I had my sources and we got Eddie arrested in London who had to spit out every damn action of yours from here. I also have the phone calls from your mobile tapped. No other way to escape!

Mama was sweating furiously and finally closed his eyes concluding that he had no other go than open out every truth to the family.

Mama : Yes. I did cheat Sashi. I devised plans to snatch his property. Four years back I met Sashi in London when I went for a AR conference. He was very happy to meet me after such a long time. We started to redeem our old friendship with that trip. I came to know that Gupta Holdings had a very big name in London. I spoke to him on some business matters and we agreed to work together which was hidden from everyone as he didn't want to inform his daughter about his family and their relationships who were not ready to accept him when he got married without their consent. We chose to deal with business issues professionally. When I found out all the ventures successful by joining hands with him, I wanted my sons to reach a level above Arnav bitwa. Though I do agree it was all his hardwork and efforts I couldn't see my sons working under him like slaves. I wanted my sons to come up in life. The only possible way I could be successful was Sashi and his business. I started squandering for his small projects and thought of starting a new one without anyone's knowledge. But unfortunately Sashi found out my intentions and argued with me. He lashed me and threw me out. I got pissed off and had no other alternative when Eddie came up to me to offering his help to fulfill my dream. We both started working together to snatch all the projects from Gupta Holdings and started to procure under AR for the time being so that Akash and Dhruv could get a good start. Arnav also signed those projects without any questions as it was for Akash and Dhruv. We even bribed Sashi's old customers who were very loyal to him. His business started to fall as we planned and Sashi started getting physically weak. That's when I had been to London and met him. He was desperately waiting to hit me for all those I did to his business but instead of slapping me he smiled at me and said something which I couldn't understand at that time.

Sashi : You have succeeded in cheating me Mano.. But remember one thing Im not a fool to give up my property and make my daughter get into the streets. I have already placed a check mate for you buddy. You cant even think of getting your dirty hands to my business anymore because all this will be handled by my daughter and her savior who will be slay you both, whom you cant even think about. I have confidence in him, he will save my child and make sure that you cant even near my property any time. Dare if you can go against him. Bye.

Arnav felt like top of the world when he heard how confident was Sashi on him to save his daughter and the property. He was right in taking up that responsibility. First time a tear dropped from his eyes thinking on how Sashi who had not been so close to him trusted him while Mamaji who was with him from childhood cheated him. He moved to look at Khushi who was already going weak on her knees not able to digest the facts.

Mama : I came to know that Sashi passed away two days later. I felt bad for myself. I didn't want to continue this further but since I was into this I couldn't come out so easily. Eddie was soon sent out of his office which enraged him to the extent that he tried to kill Sashi's daughter. I was not aware of this as I came back to India.More shocks were awaiting for me when I saw Arnav and Khushi talking about their legal marriage and I informed Eddie about this. He was tracing their each and every move and finally turned the plates by making Khushi's source believe that Arnav was behind all these. I was really tied up in the whole mess. I could neither come out of it nor I could confess it. I decided to listen to Eddie's actions. But since the time this marriage was fixed I was not able to sleep even. I didn't want this marriage to happen. As I wished Khushi didn't believe Arnav and they decided to separate which I over heard from their talks. I was hopeful to get some information from Eddie but he didn't contact me.

Arnav: Yes.. I knew you were the one who was eaves dropping our argument that day. I got the information from my manager that Eddie was arrested and I was trying to remove the knots without Khushi's knowledge. But everything went out of my hands but I remained calm to find out what your intentions were. I never wanted to bring this before Akash and Dhruv marriage but u created this scene. This has to come out and No one other than Khushi has the right to punish you. The punishment you deserve for the whole of your life time. Mamaji.. to make you informed for the one last time I never wished my brothers to be my slaves. I wanted them to come up in life, grow in business. I was even starting a new venture in London with Khushi for Dhruv. If you can check with my lawyer, my jeejaji, majority of shares in AR is under Akash and Dhruv's name. I can create my own empire again but I wanted my little brothers to be under my shelter not under my foot.

The whole family got shattered hearing the confession. Nani, Mami and Anjali began to cry as they didn't expect such a big flaw from mamaji. Akash and Dhruv hated their father than anyone else. Manohar had his head bent down out of shame and guilt.

Akash : We never wanted this papa. Why did you do this ?

Dhruv : Im ashamed to be your son. How can you even think of cheating bhai ?Even if you all disagree we are slaves for our bhai and we would be proud of being under him because we have seen our father figure in him than you.

Manohar got alarmed to hear the devotion these brothers had in their bhai. He was at fault, he did sins in the name of his sons' happiness but their happiness lies in the life of their bhai.

Arnav was a proud brother today. After his parents death when Arnav and Anjali came to stay with his mamaji he was a bit reluctant to stay with them since he feared they are sharing that part of love and care from Nani which belonged to Akash and Dhruv. Time had proved wrong. His fear had turned out to be a pleasant feeling that his brothers truly love him like a father now.

Shekhar and Madhumati who were witnessing all this drama came forward staring at Manohar. Shekhar couldn't hide his tears on how his brother was tortured. He lost his control and slapped Manohar on his right cheeks startling the already lost Khushi who was unable to decipher anything. Khushi was witnessing the whole scene without uttering a word. Her tears were dried up but her ears were echoing only one word.. "Her father trusted Arnav" ..why didn't she trust her love? Even if she had a small doubt that he was not in mistake why didn't she give him a chance? How would have he felt hearing such accusations from her ?

Shekhar: How dare you Manohar ? What did you think? I would never spare you for cheating my brother. You are the sole reason that I lost my brother. Now I don't wish to continue the same friendship and relationship with you' Yes.. This marriage is cancelled. My daughters would never be a part of your family!

Nani : Shekhar.. but..

BUaji : No.. My brother is right. Already we have lost our brother due to this family. We don't intend to lose our precious pearls by marrying them in this family. Its worser than pushing them into fire.

Payal : Buaji.. please listen.

Mami : No Payal. She is right. We have lost every respect and love because of my greedy husband. I have only one thing to say. She turned towards Khushi with her head down.

Bitiya.. I loved you like my daughter. I wished I had a daughter like you but I never thought my husband would be the grave reason for your tragedy. Please forgive me Bitiya.. Please. Now you have the right to punish him.

Khushi hugged mamiji who was pleading to her. She couldn't bear the pain that the whole family who had poured so much of love and affection which she missed in her life are waiting for her forgiveness. They are ready to see their son of the house punished rather than saving just because he destroyed her life. She felt proud of being a Daughter in Law of the family atleast in Legal terms.

Buaji : What are you waiting for Khushi bitiya? Come Lets go..Manohar You will be soon arrested and this family would receive the worst when the whole world knows about Raizada's real face.

Khushi : Wait Buaji.. Its my problem. Please can I take the decision for this ?

Shekhar : You have the right dear..

Khushi : I don't want anyone to talk about this any more. Everything is said and done. Punishing the person behind my father's death or cutting the ties between family would never bring my father back to me. It was fate that my father had to leave us but I don't deny that he had been hurt by his own friend just for the sake of money.

She turns towards Manohar.

Khushi : True I married Arnav legally. I didn't know there was so much secrets hidden in my life. You were so desperate to see your sons in a high position but I wish you could have given a little consideration towards your friends daughter who had to bear all the burnt. If you had a daughter like me and your friend had ditched you what would be your situation? What would be your daughter's situation?

Mama : Sorry bitiya.. I am really sorry. I don't deserve even to stand before you for the apology..

Khushi : But for that I cant make my sister's life in trouble..

Shekhar : So you mean he doesn't have to pay for his heinous acts? Just a word of sorry is enough to remorse ?

Khushi : I have already punished him by forgiving him. Now onwards he would feel guilty and ashamed of himself everytime he sees me and think of how he had cheated my father. Im sure he would be more tortured with that guilty feeling than surviving behind the bars.

Nani : Khushi bitiya, you are so matured and simple. You proved us that age doesn't matter, you proved us that you are older than us. You deserve respect and love more than what we can give you' Thank you'

Anjali : Yea Khushi.. We cant miss you.. We are debted to you. Don't know how we can replace those debts..

All of them surrounded her and tried to console her.They felt proud of their child who has given this family a new position a new name and respect. It was an emotional reconciliation the one who couldn't control her tears was Mamiji who was clutching Khushi to her heart,for getting back her daughter back. Anjali Nani Garima Payal and Shyam stood near them witnessing the new mother daughter bond.

Akash and Dhruv moved near Shekhar who was also happy to see the family getting united. The odd man out was Arnav. He was oblivious to the surroundings. Everything was settled but a storm was clouding inside him. A storm which has to break at any moment which he had suppressed within him. His ASR avatar was still at its peak. He will never let it down unless his part of confession and discussion with his legal wife is over.. He left the place with an hot redden face, anyone could know that the anger was at peak and is about to burst but no one knows it cannot be cooled down by anyone other than the person who is the reason for it.

All of them returned back to their normal state. Anjali cupped her cheeks and smiled..

Anjali : Khushi so you are already my bhabhi.. Can we conduct this marriage officially along with my other brothers' wedding?

Khushi felt like piercing her heart when Anjali asked her that question. It was not fair on her part to say yes without Arnav's permission. She had to apologize for all her accusations and hear from him the final verdict. She had blamed him unnecessarily while his only motive was protecting her. All the while her eyes searched for the dark brown eyes, unable to find him she excused herself from everyone to move towards his room.

All of them looked at her. Her nervousness, her hesitation and her worries were pasted on her face. Just like a lamb entering into the lion's den she placed her small footsteps near the ASR who was facing himself towards the poolside.

Arnav : Yes.. Ms. Gupta.. I hope you got all your questions answered today! Anyways it was really confusing only one point. You could easily forgive the person who actually did the mistake when you knew it was my mamaji and not me. Double standards Ms.Gupta!

Khushi : Arnav please.. Please understand..

Arnav: I did. I thought I understood you totally but you proved me wrong when you forgave my mamaji so easily without a word of hate. Why was so much hate and anger when you found yourself out that I was the one who cheated you?

Khushi (in anger) : Because I love you dammit' It did hurt me when I came to know that the person whom I loved cheated me. I got devastated at that point and I had to shout at you.

Arnav : If your love was true then why did you lose the trust dammit?

Now Khushi was tongue tied.. She had expected this from him. She had no answers. She couldn't tell him that she was in a very bad confusion and that she had even thought of giving up her life.

Arnav : Forget it.. I can never get a reply from you on that. But I have the answer for one of your question which remains unanswered till now. Only I can answer that.
