Is Kahaani original?

Hindi films are either copied from Hollywood films or Southern films.
But I did not find any evidence of plagiarism against Kahaani.
So is the story of Kahaani original?
If so then Kahaani is surely a masterpiece of Bollywood.

The climax had some similarities to Taking Lives though it wasn't a total copy. I think that sort of inspiration is fine. It's pointlessly duplicating things that's not right. Get inspired by an idea and develop it in your own way. That's how it should be done.
