Fashion show at Colors begins with Anandi.
Fashion shows are usually about style and glamour, but on colors, it was a little
extra. Rohit Roy, got the note correct and began his quest to hunt for his first TV
star, for the ramp today. Yes guys, it was none other than the famous 'Anandi', from
'Balika Vadhu'.
When Anandi aka Toral Rasputra, meets Rohit, her tour into the fashion world begins
on a sweet note. With a bite of sweet 'Ghewar' all the way from Jaithser, Rohit is
all thrilled and excited to accompany an inquisitive Anandi, into the fashion spree.
After a few moments of shoe trying and eating Mumbai street food, Anandi is finally
ushered into a room, where the famous designer Vikram Phadnis awaits her.
Vikram spoke of his new collection, which was inspired by the rural backdrop. He
wished to see Anandi getting transformed with the new look, portraying the very
ethnic, yet contemporary look of his collection. To him it isn't simply about
matching, but complimenting, which is of prime importance.
With this concept of Vikram, Anandi is soon rolling to get into his clothing line
called 'swades'. Cory walia, the famous Lakme makeup artist gets set to roll Anandi
into Vikram's illusioned dream.
After some speculations about her look, some belly dancing and men walking down the
ramp, including a desi jig by none other than the 'Bheja Fry' artist Vinay Pathak,
Anandi finally gets to walk. Her revamped look, suits the outfit and lends a very
Indian look, matching her persona and making her look desirable all the more.
She dons a flowing black skirt, embellished with big bold gota flowers and gota
paneling along the edge. The black and gold skirt looks very chic with the beige
jacket style kurta, which has heavy embroidery along the mid section and a super red
and gold heavily embellished dupatta.
Well, Rohit does seem to be impressed with the reinvented Anandi as much as the
audience. Watch out for this space tomorrow, to learn more about the spring-summer
collection of fashion designers donned by none other than your favorite TV stars.
With loads of eclectic mixes of colors and star studded glamour, the show promises

Tahiliani. Witness her transformation to the Indo-western look and some more
