Dressing does make a difference! but instead of arguing on how kumud dresses it is better to enjoy this literary piece which is so beutifully written! well it is a serial so obviously the makers want to attract the viewers and they will use any means for this! won't they?

I have nothing particularly against the clothes and yes, everyone has their right to dress acc to their choice. But this is a fictional character and I think as viewers it is ok to discuss whether the creatives have done justice to the character's dressing style.

In my opinion, the short, backless blouses actually do not suit Kumud's character since she has been shown to be a conservative person belonging to a conservative family. Now if they weren't showing these characters to be conservative, these clothes would have been ok. For eg: Dugba seems to always scold Kumari for not tying her hair and she says how Kumud does everything perfectly. Now if Dugba is so particular about these things... I'm sure she should be having a problem with Kumud's clothes as well. And then the scene where Kumud's dupatta was about to come off and she switches off the light... now if Kumud is ok with wearing revealing blouses along with transparent dupatttas then she should not have had any problem when the dupatta was about to fall...

I agree with u on this!! belonging to the conservative family she should I think cover a little more!! and ya when she can wear backless blouses it doesn't make any difference if the transparent dupatta is there or not!! but well she is the lead so they will do this!

In other words, her blouses do not reflect a girl of her social standing right? Welcome to Indian television, where nothing is guaranteed to make sense. Back when Jennifer was in Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, another top-rated soap, she was playing a fashion model with license to expose a lot more than she did, but her wardrobe was fairly less revealing than it is here if I am not mistaken.
My point is, it's not Kumud's position that takes first priority here it's the fact that it's a ratings game and always will be.
Yeah Dugba is so particular about everything though. She had a problem with Kumud and Saras at the same pottery wheel because they weren't officially together. For God's sake, the guy almost drowned saving Kumud's kite and he took a punishment for something he didnt do and in both cases it took a lot of guts. If Dugba is running for the high moral ground, shouldn't she look a little closer to home? Like say Yash who just recently took off without a spoken word to anyone?
Kumud is a strong reflection of her parents' samskar, especially her father. And Saras is just as much a reflection of his late mother Saraswati. So I don't see how anyone would have an issue with that except for Guman. Dugba is just nit-picking because that is what aunties do.

I already said in another post that i am not against her dress (backless blouse) as saras is getting enough chances to see her sexy back ;P

jokes apart: its a slb's show = far away from reality!Just enjoy it folks rather than judging characters' costumes or etc!

I wouldn't have a problem if everyone in the village wore clothes like her. But PH wants her to look sensual to attract young viewers I suppose. I think she is being used for display , as Jerry Seinfeld says : are we going to get a glimpse ( of side b**b ) or not? The story and acting is so good, they really didnt need revealing clothes.
