I absouloutly agree with you!...People have differnt opinions and we should all share them but upto some extent, not to bash the oppenent side😕

well its critics job to admire or crash an actor/actress performance as we fans do to. dnt 4gt ppl aish was criticised a lot for her interview on Oprah but nevertheless, i dnt wna say anything about her acting but this article made me think that was Rekha not good enough for international stardom after she made UJ and can you compare Aish to ppl like Sophia Loren / Brigitte Bardot der all oldies and had great sophistication of der time does aish? i mean why not compare her to present day hollywood actresses?

Ash is a pretty prop not an actress! Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Burgman, Merrill Streep were/are beautiful actresses with amazing talents. Ms. Rai has a long way to go to make the transition from eye candy to actress. 😡

She emotes through her expressive eyes and the consistency in her performance is evident from start to end. my first quote was referred to such reviews by most of the critics, where they merely talk about her looks and costumes and in just a single line will speak about her performance.

If any other actress would have been her place , critics would have talked so much over the top things for their performance and given examples of scenes where they have shined, kike asking readers to just have a look at that scene , or at climax. But when it comes to ash , i think there is dearth of words for critics, and mind u, we expect this from critics only when she gives good performance lke she recently gave in UMRAOJAAN.

and yes , i think u seem to be an critic looking at ur reply, and ur posting itself showed what mindset and narrow minded approach u have for writng reviews for Ms. Rai.

Sad, that u r very much enthuastic ,proud n happy to name "MISTRESS OF SPICES" n "BRIDE & PREJUDICE" but when she has done something remarkable in films like "RAINCOAT" N "CHOKHERBALI" and also according to me in "HDDCS,DEVDAS,KANDUKONDAIN KANDUKONDAIN(i suppose this is not indian for u) " then that for u seems " just worth mentioning" .

True , her no. of flops r more than hits, but atleast be fair enough that when person puts forward good work, to praise it fullheartedly rather using "just" worth for thier work.

Critic should be one who praises good thing and critisizes bad thing, but when someone does something good, u r so narrow minded u have to use words "just" worth to talk about a person and particularly for ash.

I watched UJ, ASH was beautiful and performed very well, but the movie was handled very badly by JP Dutta.. I could sit through the movie only coz of ASH and Shabana Azmi.

yeah, agreee the movie was bit boring , only ash and shabana saved the show.

in most scenes ash surpassed abhishek, ash totally rocked as an umraojaan

Sadly, I don't like these kind of movies. They bore me big time. I like Ash, but I still won't go watch it. 😳

Even though ash is my fav but Umrao Jaan is a historic movie and i don seem 2 like them

but american industry and critics do know her 😉
