My guess is that Tanveer might be pregnant and she is carrying a child of someone who will not marry her or her parents don't like. I don't know why she chooses not to have an abortion. Some women simply cannot as it is against their principles even if the have a child out of wedlock.
She might have shown up to ensnare (and get married to him) Asad only to pass the baby off as his...it would really make sense in order to show that conservative girls are not all what they seem. A lot of the times we would assume that a girl like Tanveer would never be intimate with a guy while a girl like Zoya, dressed in jeans, living in New York and extremely outgoing might be this way. Tanveer will give Asad the wake-up call he needs not to judge a girl by her outwards appearance.
So here is one theory.
Another theory is that she might have had multiple rejections when it comes to marriage-but I prefer theory one.
Also, what will add to the show is how Zoya is welcome by Dilshaad and Najma; how Dilshaad confides in her and treats her more like a member of the household - that is give her all her responsibilities. While she is very kind to Tanveer; she does not see her in the same role. And although she is happy when Asad chooses her for marriage, she is disappointed that it is not Zoya. I hope that she figures out that Zoya loves Asad and supports her. After all, today's episode did an excellent job at showing how their lives parallel each other. Dilshaad would be the best person to understand Zoya's heartache and hopefully will be her biggest support.
