CHAPTER 17:

zindagi ki mithas hai rishtey
pyaar ka rang hai gehra to
aur meethey hote hai ye rishtey
khushi ka saaya...
gham ki dhoop!
zindagi me apnapan hai ye rishtey

The party was over. After the bidding good byes, all were leaving for their home. Arjun, Roshni and Choti took their car to home. All the way Choti was silent.

Arj: kya hua? Aaj ithna sannatta kyu hai??

Cho: kuch nahi bhai, bas thak gayi hu.

Ros: its ok, take rest. Hum ghar pohonchne wale hi hai.

But roshni was observing Choti from the mirror.

In the otherside, Sam was dropping Muskan home. Chotu was supposed to be with them but Sree pulled him back. "pagal hogeye ho Chotu?? Kabab me haddi math bano!" Riya smiled at that approvingly and said to Sam that they would be going together.

Muskan and Sam were silent in the car till they reached her home. As he pulled the car, they looked at each other a bit embarrassed. That was her first dance today and the feeling she shared with him, made her blush more. Sam was just watching her turning pink at her thoughts. He was smart enough to understand her thoughts. he placed his hands on hers. She just looked up to him.

Sam: thank you.

She raised her eyebrows confused. "kyu?"

Sam: for that beautiful dance with me. I think I'm falling in love with you...

She smiled again. "YOU THINK?? Huh??"

Sam: ya I guess so. Ab sure karke kuch nahi keh sakthe.

Mus: kyu nahi?

Sam: agar tumhai tharaf se 'na' hai tho... Mujhe aise devdas banke nahi ghumna... so tumhare side se ek bar confirmation milne ke bad me bhi confirm karunga.

Mus: achi statistics hai!!

Sam: kya karu?? Ek chief hu... ye sab karna padtha hai!! so whats your statistics?

Mus: well, mien bas ek doctor hu.. wo bhi ENT specialist... ab mien tho aise koi statistics nahi rakhthe. Sab seedhe hi kehtha hai... so mere side se tho pakka sure hai!! ke ...I love you...

Sam: WHAT???

Mus: (smilling) ab apne statistics se analyse karlo pure raath. Good night Sam!!

She opens the door and rushes out, winking at him, leaving him shocked.

Sam: wow that was so fast!!

He smiles sheepishly and drives off.

Sree, Riya and Chotu were discussing about the party. Well Riya was just listening. Her mind was still in that dance... in his eyes... his looks...

Sre: oye Riya... (she jerks) kaha khogaye ho yaar?? Kabse bula raha hu..

Ri: wo..

Cho: are chodna yaar... wo tho unke khayalon me khogaya hai...

Sre: kiske??

Cho: aur kiske?? Apne naye Khadoos ACP ke...

Ri: (hitting Chotu) chup.. besharam. Kya bol rahe ho?? ab mere chod, kafi romantic lag rahe the tum apne partner ke saath... kuch baath aage bada Chotu?

Cho: naam hai Sandhya. Fashion desingner hai. Sheen ke family friend hai..

Ri: are wah...pura biodata mila hai... lage raho. Aur Sree, tumhare aur Sheen ke...

Sre: Ri, please don't start that. not interested.

ri: kyu, koi aur hai kay?

Sre: aise kuch nahi. But not sheen any way.

Ri: hm... kuch tho hai. koi baath nahi fir patha lagaungi. Ok guys mere ghar pohonch gayi. See you tomorrow.

She walks off, but Sree's mind was still on anjali. She looked beautiful in that white anarkali. A small smile came on his lips.

They drove off again.

dosti me apnapan
pyar ka ehsas
khoob roothna
khoob mnana...

Few days later: Arni's home:

Rosnhi was busy preparing the breakfast. She was feeling a bit cold. A slight dizziness in her head. She just washes her face again and composes herself. Choti comes in ready for the college. "Good morning bhabhi. Are kya hua? You alright? You look a bit pale"

Ros: kuch nahi yaar. Bas thodi thaki hu. Nothing more. Zara wo masala ke box dena.

Cho: aap hatiye, baki curry mien banathi hu.

Ros: are nahi baba, you'll get late.

Cho: kuch nahi hai. I'm ready, bas breakfast hi tho lena hai. aap rehne dijiye.

Ros: ok then, mien Arjun ko chai deke athi hu.

She walks to his room with a cup of tea. He was just out of his bath, half was putting his shirt. He saw her in the mirror and smiled at her. "are wah Roshni, bang on time."

Ros: kiske liye?

She places the tea on the table and she feels herself pushed to him. "Are kya kar rahe ho?"

Arj: kuch khas nahi.

He smiles and gives her a tight hug and pecks her lips. She leaves him and rests her head on his chest. He felt a bit different. "kya hua Roshni, any problem?"

Ros: nahi Arjun. path nahi kyu, I am so tired.

He holds her shoulder and makes her sit on the bed and checks if she has a fever. But no, she was fine. but she didn't look fine at all.

Arj: kay hua? Kithne bar kaha hai ke apne khayal rakha karo. Kaun suntha hai mera?

Tears fill her eyes and he was more worried now. He higs her tight. "why are you crying? Kya hua? Sorry, mien tumhe daant nahi rahe the. Bas aise hi..."

Ros: Arjun... you love me na??

Arj: are pagli, ye bhi koi puchne ke baath hai? of course I love you...agar kaho tho prove bhi karsaktha hai...

She smiles at his words. "koi zaroorath nhai hai. I trust you."

Arj: ok ab bathao, kyu ro rahi thi?

Ros: patha nahi... bas aise hi...

Arj: what?? Ye koi pipe hai kya?? Jab chaho... pani nikalu...

Ros: (hitting his chest) Arjun...

Arj: ok.. sorry... but you really look tired. Can I do something?

Ros: no, its ok. Aap thaiyar ho jayiye. Office jana hai na?? shayad mien aaj chutti lelugi. I'm just so tired.

Arj: ok that's good. Chalo breakfast karthe hai.

He gets ready while she just looks at him and they together go to the table.

Arj: are wah aaj khana tumne banayi hai?

Cho: nahi bhai, just bhabhi ko help kar rahi thi. Are you alright now bhabhi.

Ros: ha, I'm fine. ab jaldi chalo, warna sab late hojayega.

They begin the food, but then, Roshni feels a bit awkward. She gets up and rushes to the washroom

Arj: Roshni, kya hua??

She was in the washroom and was hit by nausea.he comes and supports her, caressing her back."kya hua hai tumhe? Chalo hospital chalthe hai."

Ros: (after feeling better) nahi Arjun I'm fine. bas thakan ke wajah se hai. aap break fast kiiye. I don't want it.

Arj: par...

Ros: please Arjun I just want to rest for a while.

He pleaces her on the bed and covers her with blanket. And sits by her and carasses her hair. She just close her eyes relaxing at his touch.

Arj: are you sure, ke hospital nahi jana hai?

Ros: ha baba, I'm fine. in fact much better. Ab aap jayiye. I am ok.

He was confused as to how to leave her alone at home. Choti had to go to class as there was an important lecture. So she made them go away to the work. But he left only after making her drink some juice and keeping her mobile close to her, and instructing to call her at any need.

She agreed and he left half heartedly.

At office he was not at ease. Sam noticed it and asked about it. he told the matter. Sam assured him everything would be alright. He called her, and she took only after some rings, frightening him more.

She told that she was fine and was just sleeping off.he decided not to call her again and thereby stressing himself more.

After some time:

An officer comes to the discussion hall, mentioning the arrival of ACP Shaleen. They asked him to come in. Sam and Arjun welcome him. The team was happy to see him, though Sree and Chotu was just waiting him to leave, so that they can pull Riya's legs again. She was sometimes lost in his looks and often needed Sree's wake up push.

Shal: wow, great office guys truly impressed.

Sam: thanks bhai, so sab teekh hai na?

Shal: ( after some thoughts) ha bhi aur na bhi.

Arj: matlab??

Shal: I am in middle of a trouble. Patha nahi jo mujhe lag raha hai wo sachem hai ke nahi. But its annoying me. Pichle kuch din se jo office me horaha hai... I am confused.

Sam: baath kya hai bhai?

Shal: wo... (taking a deep breath) pichle 2 operations jo mere team ne kiya tha, I think some information was leaking out. Kuch samay aise lag raha tha, ke jisse hum dhoondne nikle the, unhe hamare movement ke bare mien patha tha.

Arj: you mean...

Shal: ha Arjun, I think there is someone in my team, who is selling us out. There is a mole in my team.

Sam and Arjun could feel something in his voice. Shaleen looks at them as he knew he was caught red handed by the 2 fiends. He looks away for a second and composes himself.

Shal: I know guys... mujhe patha hai ke tum dono kya soch rahe ho... yes its happening again. Patha nahi kyu?? Why is it always happening with me??

He could see the days flying back.

"Sid?? What are you doing in my Dad's study?"

Sid: kuch nahi yaar... bas ye dekh raha tha ke there dad ithne sare books kab padh liya??

Shal: kya patha yaar!! But next time uss room me math jana. He dosent like it.

Sid: ok bhai, done. Ab aunty kaha hai?? bohot zor se bhoog lag rahe hai.

Shal: come lets get some food.
