I was hurt to hear what choti maa said when saanchi was being mean to anandi about missing shiv. CM defended anandi which was nice but I did not like when she also passed judgement on city girls that their love is flaky. They say I luv you in two days and disappear. Now they are making a progressive city mother in law behave like a most backward of all mother in laws.
Then of course there are saanchi and gauri the epitome of bad city girls. I wish if they had to bring someone opposite jagya it was a different image of a city woman not another dukhayari village girl. How about a independent, city born, well educated doctor who decides to work in. A village hospital and is raising a son and taking care of parents on her own. Who does not give time of day to jagya to start with.
Anandi is the protagonist of this show and I lwatch this show only for shiv anandi. They always made anandi as Mahaan, strong, outspoken yet respectful and caring. Which is nice but then all her confusion, weaknesses about accepting shiv were glorified as maa ko vaada or taking time to forget her ex beend as excellent traditional village qualities. If it was a city girl they would have labeled it as using shiv under false pretenses.
Why don't they stop generalizing and stop pitting city girls and women versus village girls and women against each other. making city girls and women look insensitive, brainless, egoist.
