DRESS????? I think you meant his outfit... Dear... I am no English teacher or english expert...but I am just correcting you so that you dont hear this from anyone else in an insulting way...
I learnt many years ago that DRESS is used for a woman's saree, frock, etc etc...and if we need to comment on what a gentleman is wearing...we can just call it OUTFIT... π

oh I just remmebered something funny π
I have a niece she lives in Vancouver
there are lots of panjabies and sikhs and gujratis also ofcourse
she was around 8 or 9 yrs old they had an old panjabi friend who used to call everyone after every sentence Meri Panji mere Praji Mere Pootar π
and when my niece used to mimic her she would do it with english accent she always sound so funny Meri Panji mere Pootra π€£
though her hindi is as good as any indian child bcoz we had told my sister that she first should learn hindi and then english one must know his or her matra bhasha now well she is 17 yrs old she used to take classes in hindi in a temple and she always came first :D actually my sister also taught her hindi at home and took comic books amar chitra katha her hindi is very very good and without accent now well thora bahut hai but doesn't matter π we all r so proud of her

Yes Penji... actually we cousins call our elder female cousins and elder sisters Penji at our house... you will see Penji being used by young kids very often in contrast to Penji being used in India just for older women...
