Episode 201 Discussion: 21st Feb 2013

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.

Episode 201 Discussion - EOD Summary

The reliving and letting go of good and bad memories by the Ex-Husband and Ex-Biwi

Events of the Episode

Madhu goes to the Vanity van to meet RK as per heroine boss' order. RK is actually waiting for her. Madhu is determined not to fight with RK even if he instigates her.
RK asks her to give a head massage. Madhu in order to show him as not getting affected by him and just acting as his hair-dresser, goes out to get oil.
When she brings it back, she spills some oil on the lower step of the vanity van. She calls out for Spot Dada (bhai) to come and clean it and forgetfully also says that "if not cleaned RK will"... this is completed by RK.."not like it..." He goes on to taunt her that she is so hurt and broken and yet she has not stopped caring for others including for enemies like him.
She gets ready to give him head massage. In the process her dupatta is stuck to his chair, she removes it...a scene that brings discomfort to both. The song "Bin tere" starts to play. As she massages him, she goes back into her memories of her previous time when she gave him the massage. He too remembers it and stiffens. After a while he stops her.
As she begins to leave, he gives her back another memory of theirs of the back massage which happened in their hate phase. As he tries to instigate her into fighting, Madhu decides to ignore him and leave.
On her way out, Madhu slips over the oily step and trips on to the ground, twisting her leg. She cries in pain. RK hearing her cry, panics and gets out, sees Madhu on the ground. He picks up her hurt foot and starts massaging it. As she cries in pain, he asks if its hurting her. The tenderness in his eyes for her, stops Madhu in her track and she keeps looking at him wondering at his concern.
Soon Madhu tries to extricate herself from his hold and gets up. RK leans by the side of the vanity van and sees Madhu struggling to get up. Inspite of her protests, he picks her up and asks the crew around to get a chair for her.
When he deposits her on the chair, he leans closer to her and tells her that the fight is off until her foot hurt goes away as he likes to fight her being in equal capacity. And he also tells her that no one except him has the right to hurt or defeat her. Madhu keeps on looking at him.
Bittuji offers Madhu that he shall drop her at home. She refuses and takes auto to home. Madhu reaches home and Trishna and he mom are worried about her hurt foot. Trishna applies ointment on Madhu's ankle sprain. Madhu doesn't tell them what caused the hurt.
RK, Bittuji are going back home. Along the way as RK keeps remembering the day with Madhu and her fall, he regrets that he had been the cause of her hurt. He asks Bittuji and his driver Rajesh to take a taxi and he himself drives away alone to some place.
At the chawl, Padmini asks Madhu to leave the job as working for RK has caused that physical hurt. She becomes apprehensive of more hurts to come her daughter's way. Madhu refuses.

Well !! today I shall take it not as RK and Madhu individually fooling each other or themselves, the person who was standing behind the two was Destiny. He failed both of them at what they were really good and adept at fighting. He just made it a little more futile for them...all efforts are futile and yet so much burden on the heart to prove to each other, to themselves and to the world, that indeed they will succeed in moving on.

Channel wise Life OK and Gold has big leap. Star and Zee had drops from last week, though they still are 1 & 2 respectively. Colors is still 3rd and has maintained its position with not much change in its GRP ratings. It just fell by 1 point from 206 to 205.

Over Colors, the leader is SSK with 0.8 leap (25% increase) followed by MEIEJ and BV with 0.4 leap making it 13% and 10% approx increase respectively. Their other shares did not see much change. Nautanki gets added.

MEIEJ is still at 10th position and we would wish it to succeed. All that ST and his team did to maintain secrecy of the plotlines; had kept the excitement levels up which was the reason of increase in TRP.

still unable to understand our warriors ! for all the big talk of Madhu "dekhte reh jaoge", and "main apni hadh paar karoongi" and "RK ek superstar ek mamooli ladki ke saath, haar superstar ki hogi", she had to act nervous & sad in front of him? 😆 n looks like superstar could not act today? 😲😕

nyways, this is not the first time Madhu was in his vanity van..in the past, how many times did she visit the sets, none of the crew members recognize her 😕? exactly WHY will they take it in a wrong way?? he's her ex-husband, so as to say, why was she nervous at all ? RK inviting her, as if he has to do tht saaree kheechne wala dushasan act the next minute 🤣 ha ha ha ! aisi humari kismat hai hi nahi ! 😔

RK asking her for a head massage ...wasn't he pretty decent with it? and gave her an option of quitting? 😆 Madhu bringing in oil and spilling it on the stairs...but ITNA tel? 🤔 one month stock she were to put on his head? why did she sent the spot boy back n didn't get it cleaned? 😆

her dupatta stuck in his shirt , the head massage , RK closing his eyes (knew that he will ) , a very smooth scene with a beautiful song in the background..👏 Madhu looking like a golgappa throughout 😆 RK enjoying it , then felt something wrong about it ke why is he enjoying toh he asked her to stop ...he dared her to give him a back massage..oh ho ! harassment and RK ? Angeena, sorry yaar, but dun worry humare bahut saare adhure sapne hai 🤣 mil ke dekhenge...

Madhu walked away n she slipped...n superstar cud not control himself, he went to her rescue, gave her a foot massage ..for full 1-2 minutes, he became the old RK before holding her in his arms and giving that lame reason ..tumhe dard bhi main hi doonga 😆 this love story is by far sabse zyada unique ! 👏 no doubt ! even if he's lying, i love his excuse ! ❤️

Madhu rejecting Bittuji's offer 👏 to drop her ..humari Madhu hardly takes anybody's help..👏 that's her..

Bittuji and Rajesh ko jungle mein chodkar he went somewhere..certainly he was not happy with himself for giving that reaction for Madhu 😔 liked what Bittuji said...bhabhiji se itna door na chale jaana ke wapas aane ke raaste bhi bandh ho jaye ..does Bittuji know something? i felt that way today...

Madhu-Padmini-Trishna scene was okay..Padmini finally waking up n realizing ke Madhu is working with RK 🥱 morning she was exited and evening itna drama ! liked how Madhu defended herself...Padmini knows the details beforehand 😲 ..nyways, MAdhu was right, she'll have to come face to face with RK , she can't run away from him ..pehle toh that ahankar poster will remind her of him then everyone on the streets..ghar baithna is no solution but RK ko challenge karna is not any solution either ! and if she has challenged him, hauslon se veer gaate gaate darne ki bhi zaroorat nahi hai 😆

An enjoyable episode. 😊 Or maybe my Dad's cutting remarks which made me laugh through most of it caused this. 😳 The last episode he had seen was the Balraj ME. I tired bringing him up to speed while still trying not to miss any part of this episode. Anyway...

This episode started with Madhu entering RK's vanity .. It seemed to me as if she was walking towards her worst nightmare. The background music did not help change my mind. When the word "dushman" was sung, the camera focused on RK's poster in the background. Well, so far so good. She enters after some RK taunts and he tells her to give her a champi. She agrees. She gets the oil, spills it on the first step and then she tries to do her job.

The CVs chose to use Bin Tere Reprise verson instead of the normal Bin Tere.. I have no clue why this struck me, other than the fact that this version has a preppy background score as opposed to the original one which is more sad which I felt would have been more suitable.

RK caused as much pain to Madhu as he did to himself. It could be seen in the way he couldn't maintain his smirk, in the way his hands gripped the armrest. Madhu's eyes shined with tears just waiting to be released. Finally, RK broke first. But then to recover and show he was unaffected, he asked Madhu to give him a back massage.

Why would he remind her of that memory? They were not in love then. On the contrary, that was a period when Madhu was rebelling against him in every way she could. Did he want to tell her to remember him as the monster he was and not of the human he had pretended to be? Madhu just walked away. I know many called this harassment yesterday, but I don't see it as such.. He was not serious about it. It was all just to taunt her. Even if Madhu had not walked away, he would not have gone ahead with it. He would have told her to go. I believe he was bluffing to cover his own pain caused by the memories.

An then came the fall. RK reacted instinctively to Madhu's yell. He didn't pause, just went to her and tried to help her. Madhu pushed him away after the female version on Bin Tere Reprise was done playing. And RK made it known why he helped her. Only he has a right to hurt her, cause her pain. But in this dialogue, he also said that he fights only with those who are his equal, in other words, Madhu falls in this category. High praise from a man who considers himself to be God.

Bittooji's words as RK drove off sums it up. He should not go so far that there is no return. But maybe he already has or wants to.

I didn't understand why Madhu spoke as she did to Padmini, her mother. Maybe it is because I could never speak in this way with mine. I didn't like it. Padmini after all was not telling her not to fight, just to pick her fights better.

'Aahankaar' -- it's what is driving both the protagonists at this point. RK's won't let him accept his love and Madhu's won't let her backdown even if not doing so will cause her pain. And I think Padmini sees this problem and is trying to make Madhu see it.

The precap reminds me of Madhu saying the exact same thing to RK during the Test of Love track. And I am super excited.. What is RK planning? The way he focused on Dipali's marriage.. Is he going to show her up in front of everyone as Shri said in her post earlier? No one would be happier than me.

TRP's are not bad, but CV's must be expecting a lot more 😆 point to be noted is that MB easily crossed 4 many times, but not since the time the promo was aired

na Angeena, they used the original Bin tere today..the reprise version is much better , it's very soothing and therez only a male version of it...it goes "teri nigahon ke"...i know it very well bec. i made a vm on it on naitik akshara...therez a remix version of bin tere which is again peppy...

I am wondering what kind of love are we witnessing this week. Last week it was revenge-wala love for RK and heartbreak-wala love for Madhu. What is it this week? Is it childish-prank wala love for RK and cactus-wala love for Madhu?

Bichari she spills the massage oil accidently on the vanity entrance steps and that is what is going to cause her to slip when she leaves the vanity. I would rather that she chants the mantra in her mind rather than background music. Its effect is somehow diluted this way.

He asks her to give him a head massage. She should have just dumped the entire content on his head and ran away from there without doing any actual massage. 😆 😆 If she had indeed moved on, she would have been able to pull it off. However she has not moved on an inch. Poor Madhu. She needs to call upon her entire inner strength to do that task. She is visibly upset at that prospect. RK ki halat kuch alag nahin. He too recalls his earlier champi session which was so fun loving to watch. This one was very painful and thankfully he does not prolong it. As expected the shirt unbuttoning was a complete wasted act.

On her way out when she slips on the oil slick step and falls, she cries out in pain. Hearing her cry of pain, our hero is next to her in a heartbeat. All his previous bravado of insulting her is vanished and what we see is RK who is concerned for her well being. He believes he should postpone the fight till she is back on her feet from this mishap. According to him, Madhu ko harana, rulana, tarsana, pareshan karna yeh sab is copyrighted only to RK and no one else dare infringe it from him. Funny how he delivers that dialog and then walks away.

Padmini wants to shield Madhu from further pain of being in RK's vicinity every day. However Madhu is hell bent on doing just that. She thinks ki yeh jo RK ka poison uske tan-badan mein hein use nikalne ka yehi ek tarika hai. It is an extreme remedy however, one that will either cure her completely (i.e. only if she wants to) or the one which will consume her alive (which is what I think is gonna happen). All I will say is Madhu, keep your pepper spray handy. You never know, when the opportunity will present itself to test it on RK. 😊

Precap - Abhi yeh Dipali ka kya naya chakkar hai? What is she so excited about? What is RK going to ask her to do now?

What an episode! 😆

I seriously don't like that new heroine at all. Already she's annoying me. I wonder if she's trying to kick Bittuji out and become RK's personal assistant instead 😲😆

Madhu opening the door the the vanity van and RK standing right in front of her. I know she knocked on the door, but I can't help but wonder if RK had already been standing there, waiting for her to come. 😆

Now the head massage ... I never knew hairdressers also give head massages to stars 😲 That small fact surprised me, and then I was like "It's alright, Madhu's giving head massage to RK ☺️"

I actually like how RK feels this need to challenge Madhu even in the smallest things, like the oil spilling over and her reaction towards it. Within those few seconds, Madhu only remembered the fact that RK doesn't like such things and quickly called for a spot boy before reality hit her once again. And of course, RK being RK wasn't going to let go off that moment easily 😆 That being said, somehow it's always those small things that end up having the greatest impact in any relationship.

It was funny how RK looked so determined to make Madhu give him head massage, but as soon as her dupatta got stuck to his shirt, his jaws literally dropped 😲 And then when she started with the massage, he had such a hard time controlling himself 🤣

I wish that, instead of Madhu looking at another direction and remembering old memories, she could've taken a look at RK's expression throughout the massage.

I don't know if this makes sense or not, but the mirror reflection of both during the head massage kind of reflects their personalities when it relates to the emotional quotient. That is, you see Madhu looking to a different side and is completely lost in thoughts, while RK tries to hold them within his head. It's like, you can see the diferences in them when it comes to all things that connect to feelings and emotions. Madhu's more of an extrovert and RK's an introvert in such cases.

So I like how the CVs even maintained such small details of both characterizations.

RK teasing Madhu about being nervous to give him back massage was totally normal. However, in his last sentence, he asked her if she has any heart problem. After this, Madhu stormed out of the vanity van, slipped, fell, and screamed. And RK? He freaked as soon as he heard her and quickly rushed beside her. It seemed like RK was the one with the heart problem in that situation 😆 His words to Madhu totally hit back at him 😆 I couldn't help but laugh at his plight 🤣

When RK was tending to Madhu, I liked how Madhu first reacted by pulling her feet away from him. RK's frustration once again filled his veins as he quickly got up and looked away 😆

When Madhu got up and tried to walk, I honestly thought that she can manage on her own and doesn't need his assistance. But RK has this need to be part of everything related to Madhu 🤣 That much is embedded in his system 🤣 That even when Madhu could've managed on her own, his instincts rather told to hold her back despite her protests, lift and carry her to the chair 🤣🤣🤣

It's almost like RK saying that even if Madhu tries to move on, he'll be the reason why she'll be able to move on.🤓 But that's not really moving on, in the sense that Madhu moves away from RK. That's just RK holding Madhu back, making sure she's attached to him like he is to her, and saying " Chalo, let's move on together" 🤣 (in his own twisted way 🤣)

The rest was usual. Padmini's reaction was natural. But Madhu stood up to Padmini this time and I admire how she doesn't want bow down to RK at no cost. I guess RK challenging her would've also ignited the fire in her.

The precap -- I wonder what RK has planned for Dipz. Seems like her shameless antics are finally going to come to an end 🥳
