Episode 201 Discussion: 21st Feb 2013 - Page 2

I have no idea which way the story is heading. Was it a revenge? Was it not? Was there an ulterior motive? Is something big going to happen by the end of this week which marks the end of ST's 2 weeks and RK's 3 days ultimatum? Is Madhu gonna be a superstar? Or a super hair stylist? How many more times does she have to trip/slip/stumble for RK to realise that he loves her?

Although today she didn't trip on a plane surface, I'm gonna give her that. She slipped on oil that she only spilled on RK's vanity steps. More on that later.

So today RK forced Madhu to come into his vanity. Dragging her in like the day before wouldn't have worked because it had to look consensual. Madhu knocks and pulls the door open. RK is standing right at the door. He yaps for sometime and then asks Madhu to close the door. 😆😆😆. He should have been more clearer with the instructions because Madhu goes ahead to shut the door on his face. So the worst ever oil-massage in the history of massages happens with an awesome song in the background and both of them were reminiscing. I think RK was more effected because the moment Madhu touches his scalp, he closes his eyes, either to control his emotion or to drink in the feeling of her touch. After that he goes ahead and does another fake out of undressing (what did I say Ananya,😉 3 buttons right?). Asks Madhu to give a back(?) massage and of course Madhu backs out now. If I were her, I would have just upturned that bowl of oil on him.

She runs out and slips. RK runs out but he doesn't slip. Now its RK's turn to return the favor, err massage. Eyelock. Madhu refuses. Can't stand straight. Limps. RK grabs her hand. She yanks it out. RK picks her up, aggressively. DRRRAAMAAA !!!

My 2 cents :

• the most important thing that caught my eye, Rajesh is back but Rajesh is not Rajesh anymore. 😕
• RK is talking a LOT and most of the time, I'm spacing out. Not good if I am to keep up with this nail-biting drama.
  
• RK's hair. Sometime its up, next scene its down, and the next its up again!
• Today, when he throws Bittoo ji and Rajesh out of the car, I sent a small prayer up asking not to let him go to the chawl. He probably doesn't. But RK is like a bomb ticking to explode.
  
• Malik household is in unrest. Madhu has a point but Padmini is right also. Yes she can't avoid RK because he is everywhere. But that doesn't mean you have to put your head inside the mouth of a tiger right away. You should at least try to run in the opposite direction first. Somehow I think, and I might be wrong, this mission of Madhu is not only about proving something to RK. Maybe very very deep inside her heart, she still has hope. She still is longing for him and maybe a teeniest bit of her wants RK to realise his mistake and reverse this. I don't know. I might be way off here, but love doesn't change into hate instantly. You don't stop loving a person overnight. And hope and yearn don't die in a second. Or do they?
• In his mind, RK owns Madhu. Emotionally and physically. I have no idea how, for this long he was able to hold himself back from getting physically intimate with her. Probably in the name of a fair game of revenge. But he has eye for nothing or nobody when she is around. He compensates this by being verbally abusive. I don't watch much hindi tv, but I have never seen any other tv couple with this much chemistry. All the more surprising because in real life VD is the sweetest and doesn't even look DD in the eye while talking.

PS: 23rd Feb, be here already. It's getting to the point of annoyance with 'tera pyar pyar pyar hookah bar'.

For all her bade bade houslen yesterday, Madhu had to buckle down and act all nervous and sad in front of her opponent on Day 1 itself? Not done Madhubala. We expected better from you, now that you have thrust yourself into this mindless game. 😕 And Superstar RK, unable to maintain his rock solid stance, melts down when he sees his ex-biwi in pain. Hmm!! Kya jodi hai !! 😆

Madhu goes to RKs vanity. They have a small conversation initially by the door. He asks her to close the door and she does so standing outside the vanity. 🤣Seriously, what was she thinking? 😆 Okay, so back in the vanity van, he asks her to give him a head massage. She runs and gets oil in amounts, which would be good enough for the massage of entire production crew. 🤣 The scene goes on as expected. Both relive their champi moment. Both are affected painfully to be reminded of that.

RK is not happy. Hence asks her to giver him a back massage and starts unbuttoning his shirt. Madhu runs and trips over the oil spill.RK runs to her rescue,massages her foot, lifts her in his arms and makes her sit on a chair, thereby showing his concern for her, but masks it up quickly saying that only he is in his rights to hurt her. 😵 Madhu is left confused, just like us. 😕😆

Padmini ko finally hosh aya. 😲 😆 She reprimands Madhu not to continue working on RKs sets. Madhu supports her stand stating that she cannot close herself to RK, as his presence could be sensed everywhere.

My thoughts-

1. Didn't Padmini know in the morning that Madhu having taken up the job on RKs set, they will be facing each other everyday and he will try every trick under his belly to strike on her again? What changed so much in the day, apart from her getting to know that Madhu ends up in his vanity van and hurts herself while exiting it? As a mother, she should have sensed the repercussions beforehand. Her reaction today made no sense to me. What she said today, should have come before Madhu took up the assignment.

2. Madhu defends her decision. Running away from him, or closing herself to him is no solution as he being the Superstar, will make his presence felt in every walk of their life. True that. But putting yourself in Devil's den again and fidgeting about your challenge on Day1 itself, doesn't sound too promising either. I would still say Madhu's decision to work on his sets is not a very wise one. Its almost suicidal.

3. Coming to the vanity scene, it was very well done. Her dupatta floating and resting on his shoulder, their awkwardness and pained faces reminiscing their previous champi and back massage moment, throughout the scene was heart touching. Did any one else think that the BG song 'Bin tere' sounded a bit out of place for that scene? 🤔 Waise, its one of my fav songs. 😛

4. RK tending to Madhu's foot. I agree with what AA had said yesterday. Had I been in Madhu's place, I would have kicked RK in his belly with my foot and there she was letting herself lose to him again. So, CVs again put Madhu to come across as dumb and vulnerable in front of RK.
I have lost all hopes on RK as his actions have stopped making any sense since this twist, but please can we have more consistency in Madhu's character?

5. RK is not happy with himself for the reaction he gave to Madhu seeing her hurt. Hence, asks Bittuji and Rajesh to take a cab and leave him alone in the car. I thought he might go to chawl to check on Madhu. 😆 Silly me. 😆 Loved Bitutji's dialogue here.
6. On a lighter note, why doesn't Madhu allow spot dada to clear the oil spill? Oh yes!! Just so she could trip over it and we will get a Deja vu of the studio night. 😆

7. So much so for the shirt unbuttoning, and we get nothing. 🤣 Must admit, that a part of me was very hopeful. 😉 😳

Overall, it was an enjoyable episode. Better than yesterday. 😊

I am clueless as to what kind of love is this between these two. 😕

First things first, I am thrilled that the song Bin tere that I'd dedicated to RK-Madhu last week was actually played for them today😊.

I didn't mention this in my reviews but I must say Trishna's mature act is growing on me. The way she just knows what to say and when to say it, and when it is best to keep silent... 👏 I'm impressed. She seems to have improved so much. The Balraj drama really knocked some sense into her.

Angeena, sorry yaar, but dun worry humare bahut saare adhure sapne hai 🤣 mil ke dekhenge...

Rest of it was superb also, as always.
