So, I was having a conversation with my Girl friend's friend..and she said " I do not watch Bollywood these days cause it insults her intelligence...and that statement irks me ..I have heard it forums...I have heard it from my friends...from many people.

Now...Why would a movie insult your intelligence. For example...Race 2...they show Deepika can see what is beneath the cards by some motion detector nonsense...

Now...a normal person would go with the flow...an intelligent person would know when to use their intelligence and when not to..and they would not use it while watching escapist cinema like Race 2...so they would go with the flow.

Now the wanna be intelligent...who need a f**king movie of their choice to show intelligence...would ask...how can she do that...what is the physics behind it,..structure of an atom...and properties of neutrinos in that atom would not allow that happen...and switch of the movie and feel intelligent !!!!!

A intelligent audiences is not the one who watches intelligent cinema,...but who watches both kinds of cinema...appreciates both..and knows when to use his intelligence !!!

I did not feel bad ...I do not have habit of checking my grammer while writing in forums...i write what comes to my mind...seperating them with periods and exclamations...

I hear this very often too. Judging is on speed dial for some people when it comes to Bollywood movies and of course movies in general. As long as one person is entertained and content/happy with 2 or 3 hours of fiction, why judge the content via a microscope?

Constructive criticism, sharing displeasure and pov of a movie is fine and sensible. But degrading or frowned upon is not so much

good to see ppl brought this up !! how does one define a movie 'sensible'???each and evry movie is flawed when it comes to bein 'intelligent' so ppl lookin down upon movies sayin that they r mindless is really silly ...movies are meant for entertainment ,not to learn the facts of life or expect them to be reality based 🥱thats y they r movies to begin with !!
