I just want to say, I dont want this topic to turn into a Katrina or Vidya bashing trend. Please keep that out, this is not a topic to show all of that. Say what you want in a proper discussion-based way. Thank you.

I thought I would take the opportunity to open this topic Katrina Vs Vidya. Lets face it, Right now they both are the best and possibly top-2 actresses. However, what sets them apart is their work and what they stand for.

What would you say are the strengths or weaknesses of each of them?

Vidya, has always been an extraordinary actress and started her career with a strong performance in Parineeta. She's had a historical career and has played a key-role in making women-centric films work in a big way.

Her weakness? I feel Vidya is very limited with her looks. She cant carry off every kind of look, and she is not the greatest dancer. For me personally, dance is a very big part of female super stars career. All of the big female icons have been great dancers...from Hema Malini to Rekha to Karishma to Aishwarya. That is something she lacks.

For Katrina, I feel like she fills in for Vidya's weaknesses without having Vidya's strengths. She's the "hot pretty" girl of the industry who can bat her eyes and make men faint. Extremelly good-looking and an unbeatable box office record. But...she misses one important thing...which is talent, we all know Kat is not known for her acting skills (or the lack of them) and she still needs more work! Yes shes hot and can dance well, but is that enough?

For me, even though they both are the best right now, They both are not necessarily "the complete package".

But I will still go with Vidya only because of her historical performances and I guess being that successful without being anorexic or eye candy is commendable as well!
