I dont see it as a matter of Religion...It is a matter of culture...and in India these things do happen so portratying them on screen is fine...

The morbidity of the show is rather disturbing I have to admit.
Today's episode left me a little uneasy. Two suicide attempts and a buried alive scene. But I think it's a general Indian soap drama than a religious implication.
Is it necessary to always connect everything to religion, for god's sake this is just a telly serial and please treat it just as another story. Characters are Muslim does not mean, they cannot be negative and if you watch other serials on TV where characters are shown as Hindu, they are shown in the worst possible characters, doing worst possible things, but on this forum or anywhere atleast I have not seen or read anyone judging those characters based on religion. I guess this is the reason why, hardly anyone chooses to touch upon a muslim background to create a story.
Thanks for the reply!! Yes, it was disturbing, and I wouldn't think that it is a religious implication had it not been for the fact that her previous shows did not have so many evil characters. Here we have Haseena, her brother, Raziya. Mamujaan, Rashid's Mom, and occasionally Rashid. We are Indian, but my Mom wanted to see some good aspects of the culture, and not just these negative things in every single episode.
