WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN???
I was shocked to know that Mariam's parents were forcefully makingher wed the very same person who raped her!
WHAT kind of parents are they? NOT ONCE DID THEIR BLOOD BOIL? NOT ONCE DID THEY WANT TO KILL THAT PERSON? INSTEAD THEY WERE RESPECTFULLY ACCEPTING HIM AS SON-IN-LAW!
WOULD ASAD BE ABLE TO BELIEVE THAT THESE PEOPLE WHOM HE ADDRESSES AS THE "CLOSE RELATIVES" OF HIS FAMILY ARE SUCH INSANE MISOGYNISTS!
ANY GIRL IN ZOYA'S PLACE WOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE PAIN AND HUMILIATION WHICH MARIAM WAS EXPERIENCING BUT WOULD SHE HAVE EVEN OFFERED TO DO WHAT ZOYA HAS ALREADY DONE?
BEING A GIRL THIS IS A QUESTION OF INTROSPECTION FOR ME!

It's easy for us sitting behind the computer to judge those parents. I definitely condemn it but this actually happens. One of my cousins is a lawyer. He was once the prosecutor in a rape case of this village. The court in it's decision said that the rapist has to marry the victim and forget the parents the victim herself agreed for it. Because she also knew that she'll never live down this social stigma. That's the problem with the society's thinking so QH isn't showing something which doesn't happen. Sadly, instead of helping rape victims make it through their trauma, they are treated like social outcasts. Sadly, the society doesn't feel any need for introspection. The day it does, I'm sure the world will be a better place (=

Absolutely.. It's shameful yet pitiful nonetheless..

What Maraim's family is doing is both morally and socially wrong.. Yet, a large fraction of population in our country would agree to that.. Don't we come across similar news in the national dailies as well?

And then again, the woman is blamed and put to shame by her dear ones, after having been stripped off her modesty and honour.. Isn't that painful and pitiful?!!

With the kind of national uproar in the country in the last month or so, I'm hoping there will be a change in the impaired mindsets of our people..

Lastly, I appreciate the Creatives of QH for having brought up social issues subtly yet poignantly time and again.. Be it the discrimination against dark skinned girls, treating women as men's equals or this or even burying a woman alive.. It may appear a bit too exaggerated on the screen, but stuff like that does happen in our land even today!

I felt numb myself, when tears welled up in Zoya's eyes
..
But does our society permit us to take drastic steps as those taken by Zoya or are we still bound in shackles of 'fake' and debilitating morals and values? I hope a day will come when we break free of them!

P.S. Thanks for the post.. THIS is one of the major reasons why I love our Miss Hoity Toity to bits.. She may be loud and unreasonably annoying at times, 😉 but she's got a heart of gold and is made up of tougher material!
And on a lighter note,
the other reason, being Mr. Jahapanah Six Packs and his Kaneez.. They'reway too adorable and hawtness personified!! 😳😉😃

True that our show is special for bringing up social issue which are not dealt with in an appropriate.I just hope the work of the creatives and the script writers opens the minds of the people who are so inhuman towards woman and able to bring some kind of justice in this crude society

Yes this is reality. I hated what her parents did, but social stigma specially in small town is so bad, I feel for parent who had to make hard choice, so wouldn;t blame Adas's relatives here completely...
But what they show with Marium, is not wrong either. How can a girl feel thinking of a man who striped off everything, touching her again, makes me scrinch real bad.
Its a bad situation, and glad they CVs did justice in a way they executed the whole sequence. Zoya didn;t ask her to run for no reason, and she gave her choice and kudos to girl for being brave enough to pick this option. Eventhough it could land her still in trouble but then there is good probabilty it wont either..
