FF Discussion: kaamchorni's FF...

Words are not enough to describe how powerful & enthralling Zarin's writings. She really pulls you into the essence of the story; the updates work perfectly as they act as pieces of a jigsaw which will eventually piece together as the plot unfolds.

I would definitely recommend Gehraiyan to everyone - a melancholic, poignant tale which pulls at your heartstrings, and there is still plenty more to come!

I'm sure there's a lot of Zarin's future work to look forward to, she's really got myself & a lot of other fellow readers hooked - she has a special way with words.

Zarin is a writer who has set her own standards with Gehraiyan. And with every chapter, she surpasses her own standards! With every new chapter, she leaves her readers even more in awe of her writing talent. The way she writes leaves the reader with a bittersweet smile. A 'why' is what comes to my mind because of the way she has related her story so closely to what reality is. Far away from all those happily-ever-afters! Her story is like the book which you wouldn't want to put down until you've read the last word of it. A strong recommendation to every reader over here is a masterpiece being written: Gehraiyan!

Apart from being an amazing writer, Zarin is a wonderful person. I'll forever be grateful to God, to IF and to the girl herself for being able to meet (virtually) and talk with her!

I would not remove the emo for that's the reminder of a nick I got from one of my favorite girls of IF, Zarin.
When I was vella and had nothing better to do and was loafering(word credit goes to Nisha Di) through IF, on one such day I came across Gehraiyan. If you're a romantic soul, you will believe if I say I was pulled by the title, and if you aren't a romantic soul, then, well, everything has a start. Isn't it? So start believing😆
Okay jokes apart, I can't form a sentence where I could say "Zarin is one of those writers..."
Frankly, it would be wrong on my part. Zarin wouldn't fall in any category. She created her own league and her writing style is so different that you fall in love not only with the story and the characters but the story writer herself.
Gehraiyan is certainly not a story with "Happily ever after". Rather, it is a story which is after that supposedly "Happily ever afters".
I knew it when I was reading through it that this is not one story where I would go into my girlish mode and sigh dreamily. I knew this story was different and once I get involved, I would be hurt by the characters and with the characters. But Gehraiyan is such a story which you can't leave once you are used to. It is an addiction.
I love Zarin's style of writing, for it is so so so to the point that you might be surprised that despite of the brevity how effortlessly the emotions are conveyed. She is not one FF old, rather wrote a OS and writing another in two different forums, both of which I have followed due to sheer love for her work and I am not disappointed.
She is a person who had inspired me to try a styleof writing which I never did. She inspired me without her meaning to do it. Apart from being a terrific writer, I am glad to admit that she's a terrific person. Never had I thought that the silent "Senior member" (Pun Intended) would be so witty.
Zarin, I am glad to know you through your stories and out of your stories as well. and I hope your writing list extends to infinity. Love you Heer, from your Tweesha😆

Once you land on her thread you are not in IF anymore. Instead you are inside a set created by Sanjay Leela Bansali for evergreen beauty Rekha ji.

The Umrao Jaan stands on the Dal lake admiring the beauty of the eternal common place. That is what her DP stands for and that is what Zarin is.

When you think about her writing only one word springs to mind "nazaaqat". It is the pain of life that is inevitable but is yet sweet. The sip of red wine that inebriates as much as enthralls.

Her writing is timeless and graceful. Where everything stands tantamount to being explored. Be it the simple button or a stalemate ring. Her writing asks to be drunk instead of read. Her essence and personality is as much a part of the story as her beautiful effusive words.

This is the best I could come up with Zarin ji. Hope it does justice to you as a writer.

I don't even know how to reply. As some of you may have guessed, I am prone to dramatics and so, I will keep try to keep this short. A million and one thank you's for the wonderfully kind words. I wish I could keep them with me forever (and not the Gehraiyan kind of forever, either).

I don't know when the story became such a huge part of my life; it pops up frequently and at the strangest times these days. Along with it, you all are very special to me and I want to thank you for all the support and love. You're all amazing and I am becoming much more sentimental than I'd like so I'll stop now 😆
