Episode 167 Discussion: 11th Jan 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Episode 167 Discussion - EOD Summary

Padmini aur Shamsher ki Shaadi ki Tareekh pakki ho gayi - 23rd Jan 2013

Events of the Episode

Episode had minor shooting bloopers visible. DD strolling around with Mehndi scenes even before Mehdi Hassan applied Mehndi on her hands. Otherwise, kudos to CVs for seamlessly building in other scenes along with VD scenes! 👏

Episode starts with Madhu strolling in to her maternal home and seeing her Deedu and her mother going about their chores in silence. Roma is shown walking towards her brother's apt after living thru the fiasco she had with Trishna's hidden money ka barsaat on her. She wants to question Trishna about it, but before she can do that, she sees the Pandit.
Pandit gives the date of 23rd Jan for Padmini and Shamsher's wedding.
Madhu and Trishna arrange for Mehndi and Sangeet ceremony for their parents. Padmini and shamsher look beautiful and so the two daughters and Roma in their respective attires. All look simple and yet gorgeous for the occassion.
Mehndi Hassan the henna wallah is sent by RK for the Mehndi ceremony. He adorns Padmini's hands and later also applies over Madhu; his chaand Biwi's hands.
RK calls Madhu to the sets where he is shooting to take the gift that he planner to give the bride and the groom. Madhu goes.
RK is shooting a romantic scene. Madhu and RK are feeling uncomfortable; at her watching him doing his romantic scenes with his heroine and him doing the romantic scene with her around the set. RK was visibly affected by her presence at the set watching him do his romantic scenes. The attempt to disperse the awkwardness between them is beautiful to watch...RK: Tum itni Chup kyon ho (why are you so silent)? Madhu: Infact, Tum kuch bol nahin rahe (you are not talking).
Madhu offers to go aways as she was affecting his work. RK holds her back, gives the gift planned and sees the mehndi on her hands. Praises her beautiful hands and again lost in her eyes (RK's goner now!)...episode ends

Before you start the discussion:

After so many quality discussion the last few days, I think you deserve these two posters.

These days with my Venus is something going on (I will not watch what it is), so I needed to fix first impressions after watching the episodes. This is the reason for this delay with posters.

Wow!!! RK forthcoming movie Qainaat, must be really interesting.. Good love story with lots of heroines..😆😆😆.I noticed they keep changing the heroine..😊

Padmini, Trishna, Roma madhu meet the panditji to fix a date for the wedding...words like dhamekedaar etc are bandied about and since we have seen the behind-the-scenes scenario, we know exactly what they mean😆
Madhu organises a mehndi ceremony at the chawl, the place is all decorated and Mehndi Hassan comes to apply the mehndi. There is some dancing and some excitement. Roma keeps trying to talk to Trishna but she keeps avoiding her.
madhu get a call from RK, and she leaves the ceremony for the studio

For me, this studio scene was one of the most contrived I have seen in this serial so far. RK is enacting a romantic scene when madhu enters. He notices her and gets awkward doing the scene. A helpful studio girl comments within Madhu's earshot...RK aces romantics scenes normally, rongte khade hote hain, what has happened to him today!! Madhu watches him and is reminded of their romantic moments together, she also feels awkward.

He takes a break and they are both uncomfortable with each other because of the romantic scene. He gives her a gift and makes a comment about her mehndi, how it looks beautiful on her hands. And then they have an intense eyelock and he comes close as if to kiss. (in the studio with all kinds of people around, this seemed really artificial!)

Is this what really happens during romantic shoots when the wife/GF is around??!! I mean, this is a revelation...and also explains a lot of things that we've all been suspecting😆

But no guys, this is to set the stage for tomorrow/monday's MU track. It was such an obvious 'creating the setting' for the MU that I got a bit bored!

Madhu will go over all that she saw, how RK is so adept at 'romantic scenes' and accuse him of acting with her as well.

Pre-cap- RK boasts to Dipali about how Madhu topped his test, she repeats his test wala statement back to him, and laughs, he turns around, he is horrified!!

This will probably be the last 2 mins, and continue into monday. We still have to see the dance at the mehndi. So we can get ready to have a verrry disturbed sunday.

😆😆😆 I have noticed 3 different heroine so far , therefore am assuming Qainaat a triangular love story!!!! Cant wait for its release...

You are all hearby invited for Padmini's wedding with Malik to be held on Jan 23rd 2013.

Aaj aasman kafi clear tha. Khushiyon ki barsat ho rahi thi. Dukh ke badal jara bhi najar nahin aaye.

Aaj mehendi ki rasm hui. Hamari Madhu ne RK ka naam apne hathon mein likha. How cute. Padmini was looking lovely with gajra and all. she has a very calm and serene face. Everyone was decked up in good clothes and mahol kafi accha tha. Dancing and just in general enjoying the atmosphere and each other's company.

Trishna realizes that Roma has found out her bag-o-money and does her best to avoid talking to Roma during the mehendi rasm. Roma bechari confused hai ki uski heroini ko itne paise kahan se mile? But she does not pursue it any further during the ceremony.

When Madhu goes to meet RK in the natraj studio following his phone call, he is shooting a romantic scene with another heroine. Apni heroine udhar jakar uska focus change kar deti hai . Madhu ki presence mein woh dusri aurat se pyar ki baatein kare bhi to kaise? Naturally he is embarrased and feels shy and keeps stumbling saying his lines. He requests for a break and takes Madhu away from the set.

In the scene that follows, they are both not able to converse naturally. They just tiptoe around each other in the conversation. Both fail to break the ice so to speak and to remain comfortable in each other's company. Each trying to gauge other person's reaction. Aaj peheli bar RK to itna tounge tied hote huve dekha. Nahin to hamesha woh hi sab dialoues bolta rahta hai. Madhu was equally chup and didn't know what to say.

I guess we will have to hold on to this pyar mohabbat wali moment for some time now. Tomorrow RK apne pairon pe apne hi haath se kulhadi marne wala hai aur jakhmi hogi Madhu!!!
