If you read carefully what TM has written, you will understand why he should be a ghar jamai.

Though I dont want him to be a ghar jamai, that is the only solution at the moment according to me to get that sulky look off anandi's face and to bring cheerfulness in a mourning-kind of atmosphere in Singh's haveli.
