1st Quarter Of 2014 Will B The Biggest In History

Whether it's advance planning strategy, or just a case of unavoidable delays, the list of films that will release in the first quarter of 2014 already seems clear. And though Bollywood tends to see the first quarter of any year as a lean business period, that notion might soon be shattered. Here's a look at the top stars and their big-ticket 2014 releases.


Shah Rukh Khan

"Happy New Year", directed by Farah Khan, will be wrapped up by October-November. "I plan to release my film four months after I finish shooting," says Farah.


Salman Khan

Salman seems immune to bad release periods. His action-thriller "Kick", directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, will be wrapped up by the end of the year. "It's too early for me to talk about release dates," says Sajid, though insiders say that it's likely to meet the first quarter deadline.


Aamir Khan

The Aamir-starrer "P.K.", directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is confirmed to release in 2014. Hirani remained unavailable for a comment, but insiders say the exact release date will be decided after a meeting with Aamir. The shooting will start in January 2013, but the film is likely to release in January or February 2014.


Akshay Kumar

It's not all about the Khans. Akshay's remake of the Tamil hit, "Thuppakki", will hit theatres around the same time. "It will open in January," says an insider. Ghajini director AR Murugadoss will direct the film.


Hrithik Roshan

Sources also claim that the Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer "Knight And Day" remake will release during this period as his biggie "Krrish 3" will only release Diwali so his next will be in early part of 2014.
