After the phenomenal response to the Most Searched Actress online, its time to take a look at who is the Most Popular Khan online? The survey was conducted using Google Trends data for the last 3 years from 2010 to 2012 and comparison has been made between the average annual online search index of 3 of the most popular actors, the three Khans namely Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. To find out who is the Most Popular Khan check the data below:

2010

Releases:

Salman- Veer, Dabangg
Shah Rukh- Dulha Mil Gaya, My Name Is Khan
Aamir- Dhobi Ghat

In the year 2010, Salman Khan leads the online popularity race by a big margin (with an average online search index of 59). Shah Rukh Khan is at second place (with an average online search index of 38) while Aamir Khan lags behind in 3rd spot (with an average online search index of 15). The only time SRK managed to out beat Salman was during the week Feb 7- Feb 13, the time during which SRK's biggie My Name Is Khan opened worldwide. Salman's popularity index reached a peak of 100 in the week Sept 12- Sept 18 when his blockbusterDabangg released. However it must be noted that Aamir didn't have a single mainstream release that featured him in a lead role.

2011

In 2011, Salman further consolidates his supremacy by a big margin and the gap between him and SRK widens. While Salman has an average online search index of 50, SRK's average online search index is just 20. Aamir meanwhile drops further with an average online search index of just 7. However it must be noted that while Salman and Shah Rukh had 2 big releases each, Aamir didn't have a single release in the whole year. Salman's peak popularity is reached in the week Aug 28- Sept 3 when his big Eid release Bodyguard opened to a thunderous response.

2012

In 2012 as well it's Salman who rules the roost (with an average online search index of 62) exactly double that of the average online search index of SRK which is 31. Aamir's average online search index of 20 shows some improvement. Like the last 2 years, Salman's peak popularity index of 100 is in the Eid week Aug 19- Aug 25 when his biggie Ek The Tiger had just released. However an interesting trend this year is Aamir showing a big jump and overtaking both Salman and SRK in the week May 6- May 12, the week when his much talked about T.V. show 'Satyamev Jayate' premiered. The show surely had a big impact in raising Aamir's popularity this year.
