From day one Zoya's pain has affected Asad. The first time he saw her crying his heart ached , it hurt him so much he was on the verge of crying. What makes it so sweet is that he did not know her and yet uske dard se asad ko takleef hui.
And now you may ask so what happened when his words hurt her ? I think its because he was angry and probably because Zoya did not show how much she was hurt . And he is very strict in his beliefs and values and there's no place for any exceptions.
Its times like these when she looks truly broken that hurts him. Its only when he sees her so scared and afraid that his walls of anger start crumbling and its only when he does not see the fire in her that truly pains him.
I did see some posts about how Asad did not show any emotion when he saw Zoya beaten up and bleeding in Chakrams house. Well I think once again his anger masked everything. Asad does not love her now. Its just that there's this thing about him not liking her in pain. Probably the first step to loving her. And probably the emotion manifests only in such extreme cases cause its very new and week.
But it hurt. And it hurt a lot. The tender way in which he laid her on the bed and so very slowly tried to take his hand away so as not to disturb her was adorable. And I know its not just guilt that's making him so caring. Her pain has always affected him only this time its magnified because its accompanied by guilt .
And now he knows her. Her spirit, her light, the bubbliness and her happiness he's seen all of it and somewhere in his heart he misses it. It feels wrong to see her lying so week and fragile without her smile. It feels wrong to see her without her light.
The way he covered her midriff shows how much he respects women. Asad maybe a typical male patriarch who expects women to be decent and follow the traditions but he does not consider them inferior in any way like many other idiots out there.
One thing we can be sure about that when he falls for her he's gonna worship her. Because that's just how he is.
So well after writing a novel the point I was trying to make is that Her pain has always hurt him. He may scream at her , disapprove of her actions and judge her but he would never ever disrespect her. Yes he did say a lot of hurtful things but that's his anger and the way he thinks. Yes i know its extreme but that's who he is .
He'll loosen up when he falls for her. He needs her to teach him that just because someones doing something that he deems wrong it necessarily does not have to be wrong. Oh and also to have an open mind.
Need I mention how perfect the song was ?? It was so beautiful and so very sweet. And I loved seeing how tender and warm the ferocious lion could be.
