| | | | ON OR OFF? Nausheen Ali Sardar and Vikas Kalantri | Of late, Nausheen Ali Sardar (Kkusum, KalCchakra) has not been spotted with her beau, actor Vikas Kalantri (Nayee Padosan, Dil Bechara Pyaar Ka Maara).
This has led to speculation about the state of their relationship.
The actress has always preferred to steer clear on the Vikas front. "I don't like it when just anyone says anything. That's why I prefer not to talk about it," she says.
Disappearing act
So why is she doing a disappearing act with regards to Vikas? "Yes, I have not been spotted with him in public of late," admits Nausheen. And that's because she prefers it this way. "I don't want people to just talk anything about my personal front. Yes, I admit I am seeing Vikas, that's it," she says. First meeting
Interestingly, Nausheen met Vikas while doing a music video for singer Nikita. This was soon after she began shooting for the Balaji daily Kkusum four years ago.
The video also featured her co-star Anuj Saxena (Kkusum's Abhay). Ironically, Anuj and Nausheen played Vikas' bhaiya and bhabhi in the video! "I did meet Vikas for the first time during the shoot of this video," she says. And romance blossomed soon after. Uncertain future
Though in the past the couple has been spotted in public at events like film
screenings, for the past few months Nausheen has stayed away from Vikas' side in public.
All that the actress is willing to say is that "I live in the present, I don't know about my future with Vikas. I'm taking things as they come," she adds. Non-starter show
After Nausheen walked out of Kkusum in February 2004 post the Sony show's generation leap, she moved to Star Plus doing a triple role in Ashim Samanta's Kalchkara.
The serial ends later this month. And the show was a non-starter. "There is not point looking back now. What has happened has happened. My contract with Star ends this month-end so only then will I decide my next step of action."
However, Shailja Kejriwal, creative director, Star Plus maintains that Nausheen's contract with Star expires in August 2006 and that they would offer her another show.
"They have offered me another show but I don't think I will do it," says Nausheen who was offered a comeback role in Kkusum but could not do it due to contractual obligations with Star. |
| Nausheen's music videos
l Nausheen Ali Sardar recently shot for a T Series music video directed by photographer-turned director Jayesh Sheth. It features a new singer Harminder.
"It is a romantic track which involves a dance sequence, a mehndi event and a flashback," she informs. The video is directed by Chinni Prakash.
l Nausheen is best remembered for her Altaf Raja music video Pehle Jo Kabhi Kabhi Gham Tha with Khalid Siddiqui.
On the big screen front, Nausheen will be seen in Do Dilo Ke Khel Mein, directed by Akash Pandey. The cast includes Rohit Nayyar, Dharmendra and Om Puri. It goes on the floors later in the year. | |
