Alot of the times people discriminate people intentionally in school. I have seen kids getting hurt because of their race. Their treated differently. For example my cousin / friends and other people are always discriminated. Like if a girl of the same race passes by they go "oh is that your sister" and start cracking up. If a guy passes by and you're a girl then its "is that your bf" and if you own a 7-Eleven like me..you're asked one question.."y do all indians/muslims own 7-Elevens😕"Well the answer...no one has. We have it, and that's that. Why are hindu's always mocked by the way they appear to talk on tv? With that accent..Why😕Kya humney un logon sey kuch kiya..Nahin naa..? Other races are opened with wide arms..you all know I am talking about the skin tones. Agar aap kuch bhi ho lekin ek "color" ho toh aap samjho ur in..and if not well then u feel left out😕well, atleast they make u feel that way. I hate the way people are racist like this. I am not saying this about anyone here but in general..Like by accident on 9/11 this girl was absent..well, the kids say..oh where were you huh girl..she was like 😕 doctor's office..it was oh kay after that..but like if that happened to a person 'of color' nothing would be said..but she was asked..kyon?

Why do people make Indian/Muslim people look bad?

Why mimic us?

Have we done anything to us?

What are ways we can create a revolution and change the way of their thinking😕..!

Think about it..!

trisha,

consider this....

people who are very ordinary / mediocre, who have nothing special in them, but want to show that they are superior - they take skin colour or religion or any other reason as a pretence to show the other person inferior. this is just to make themselves feel better the other guy or show himself to be superior than the other guy... thats it. just ignore them.

i have never stepped out of India. but i had to face so much because of my skin colour or my language from my own compatriots... it is best to brush these things aside. coz, however hard you may try, u can never put sense in to these insensitive people's head.

I understand the feeling about Indians being mocked about something they have no control over either it be language, skin color or religion. I am born and raised in California, so I don't have an accent but my parents moved here from India 20 years ago and are still mocked and insulted because they make mistakes in their writings or when speaking.

But the other side of the coin is that my sister and I are made fun of by our family, who all emigrated to the US recently, for not speaking Gujrati correctly.

What my point is that who ever you are, either it be Indian, Muslim, French, Greek or American, there are always gonna be people who mock you. And trying to change a persons point-of-view is impossible because thats what they were taught by their parents and it will always continue.

I wish there was some way to stop it and make this world a better place, but some people just don't know better.
