I can comment only after watching the movie...

The promos do not seem convincing though

Well, firstly, there is always going to be comparison between the two - and usually, when such comparisons take place, the original is given precedence over the remake.

It's difficult to say whether SRK can do justice to AB Senior's role, or whether there can only ever be one Don - but I can say this.

If a modern audience can allow itself to be unjudgmental BEFORE it goes into the cinema halls; if we can learn to detach the title of "Don" from Amitabh Bachchan and instead watch the new film purely with regards to ITSELF, then we may come out a lot more satisfied. For example, the promos of "Yeh Mera Dil" have been airing for a while now - and people complain that it is nowhere near as good as the original. (I disagree - I think the new one is much better!)

But, if we look at the song in its own right, it has:

1. Kareena Kapoor looking the hottest she has in her entire career (this coming from a NON-Kareena fan)
2. Catchy, "dance-able" foot-tapping tune, like Techno only with melody
3. Sunidhi Chauhan's sultry vocals
4. SRK's floppy-haired, menacing villain look

Now, isn't that a much better way of looking at it? šŸ˜†

If we go into the cinema with the "Don 1 hangover", we'll come out disappointed. In fact, we'll have written the film off before even seeing it. But if we go in and just judge the film on IT'S OWN MERIT, then hit or flop, at least we can make an objective decision. In that case, if it's a flop, it's because of some flaws in the film/script itself - not because it didn't match up to our expectations.

well actually i read a few interviews and they said that the new don is not the same as the old one...its just the same concept, so i think srk and amitabh have different genres that cant truly be compared

I agree...the promos do not actually make me want to see it. It seems a bit cliched, however šŸ˜•

But, lets see how it turns out 😊

I agree with Buffie.

Actually, I saw the song "Yeh mera dil pyar ka diwana" ..the one Kareena did and one helan did....and man i think helan was far more seductive than kareena... kareena didn't do even half of what helan was in that song... though i can't judge without seeing whole movie.

I am really doubtful about Shahrukh. I heard him laughing in that promo and he is laughing like he did in kkkkkkk kiran (dar- movie) šŸ˜•...so not sure...but let's see...

I beg to differ.....

1)Kareena.....I felt she looked a tad porky....Her arms and thighs werent fully toned, she looked much better in the "you are my sonia" song of K3G and in the entire Asoka....I dont know if its just me,but I feel Kareena has lost her charmšŸ˜•.....But even in the beginning, she was never the voluptuous siren, she was just cute

Helen on the other hand SIZZLED....Her body was fully toned, and she had the oomph factor, which according to me,Kareena lacks...I can safely say that among today's heroines, only Sushmita Sen,Bipasha Basu,Priyanka Chopra, maybe SHilpa SHetty and maybe some of the new girls like Tanushree Dutta can be really caled "sultry"...Kareena's a far cry from being that..She's more round and cute

ABout the new Yeh mera dil...Sunidhi chauhan has herself confessed that she's not at all pleased with her rendition..She said that Asha's voice, even today seems so refreshing, but She couldnt do justice to the song.....The low key simply didnt work

Coming to SRk...AB was much much much more good looking and attractive😳...AB oozed sex appeal, which SRK in "THIS MOVIE" couldnt...I just dont think the role suits him.....AB was tall, lanky, very good looking and wicked....Even today my heart skips a beat when I watch AB in the yeh mera dil songšŸ˜†......SRK simply doesnt suit the role, and not only me,many many of my friends too feel so..Someone like ABhishek or Hrithik would have been more apt....AB's performance seemed effortless,SRk's performance looks strained and laboured....AFter KANK,I'm no nore ready to watch SRK's face contort into ghoulish proportions...and not to forget, the last thing I'd want to watch,is to watch SRK hamšŸ‘ŽšŸ¼.....I do feel that SRK might do a decent job as the motormouth Vijay, but Not as the cruel conniving DON..He's just not cut out for that...ATlest I can say this from the promos😃

Just my views😊..No offense, and each to their own😊

Inspite of watching the DON 2 promos. I am not keen about watching the movie.

AB was the best....I fail to understand why they have to REMAKE movies. The old movies are still available... do we really need the new ones.
