Needless to say it was one of the most adorable episodes I have seen of second-generation bonding in a joint family. I am loving this family more and more every day. Is it any wonder then that Aarti is trying to hold on to the few smiles coming her way before she herself unleashes the storm of past? So what if she is trying to count her life's moments with smiles...for the moment...and not the tears that roll. It's weird actually...this state of riding the rough seas inside the warmth of a floating bubble, knowing fully well that that the very next angry wave can burst it and expose you. You know the end is coming yet you want to hold on...just for one second more...oh, maybe another one...or another one...just so you can smile a little more. Like I said, so what if Aarti is riding that rough wave with a smile...because she knows that she is in for an ugly exposure and a sea of tears...especially after the lies that are piling on every day.
Prashant is being clever. He is playing on Aarti's fears and manipulating the situations in such a manner that to Aarti he is coming across as an ally rather than an adversary. I cannot help but go back to that dream again. Two sentences stand out: "Aarti, no one can love and understand you as much as I do"...and..."Aarti, don't forget Yash's anger...will he not always be under suspicion, with a living me around?" From Diwali night to this day, he has already made quite a headway in changing Aarti's perceptions regarding him. Initially, it was a genuine desire to set things right so that Aarti moves on after being at peace with her past...but now that he has a second chance to live, he has subconsciously started desiring what he had let slip away. So, Step 1: Get Aarti to be on Team Prashant...How? By getting into her good books as well as making her a helpless partner in a nonexistent illicit situation...by planting clues and then offering solutions to wriggle out of the awkward situations arising from those clues. In simple words, Operation Alienating Aarti from the Scindias is on. Step 2: Ensure Yash traces the clues to him. The more such coincidences happen, the more deeper Yash's suspicions will be...at least that is what Prashant will expect. That is why the blue scarf...which only Yash has seen...Add that to the watch scare. In simple words, work on Yash's anger against Aarti. He is banking on Aarti's fear of Yash's anger that made her flee the last time when she couldn't trust Yash with the Ayu truth. Maybe she will repeat that act...!!!
"Before I met my Aartiji, I'd never really fallen in love...though I had stepped in it once."
The brothers bonded over a beer...in celebration of their victory...and as usual ended up discussing wives and love. Pankaj's Barbie doll to Beautiful doll to Nice doll and then finally Dhol was just so typical of how an average Indian husband perceives his wife as years roll along. Aarti praising leads to Prateek cutely ticking of his Yash bhaiya, "My Aarti bhabhi is so nice that anyone will fall for her...and you still haven't done anything about it?"...causing Yash to blurt out after a bit of day-dreaming, "Aartiji is very lovable...I love her so much." **Sigh**Yash in love is just too adorable. He completely refutes Pankaj's and Prateek's observation that only three kinds of surprises win a woman over: shopping, diamonds, and holiday...saying that doesn't apply to his Aartiji. He knows her so well...yet not!!!...The brothers egg him on to take a beer to gain courage to confess his feelings, but the lovable dunce is hesitant..."What if she says no...rejects me? What if she scolds me?" The man is too cute...he loves Aarti's anger, which hits him always like a cupid's arrow.š
In the room the bahus are having a bonding session of their own. When Vidhi goes overboard (again) in praising Aarti for her role in Mission Rescue Paridhi, the latter throws in a bit of reality check, "Our Yash bhaiya too is no less, eh!!!" Vidhi was fantastic with her enactment of Yash and suggestive dialogues..."Aartiji...ahem...ummm...the kids are asleep...etc...etc...let's roll under the blanket." The laughter ringing out in that room was so animated, so refreshing, so sunny that you almost wish to freeze the shot...because that bonhomie may be a long time in recurring!!!!
That's it friends. Bua eavesdrops yet again and senses a scandal...Pari's not-so-buried secret may see the light of the day along with Aarti's. Bua may yet have her petty revenge...who knows???...
Yash's confession time will remain pending...or Aarti will find him too drunk to be taken seriously. Whatever it is, these lighter moments are a welcome respite before the expected heavy doses in the coming week. One more thing I wanted to say was that suddenly they have started to show Aarti as being physically affected by the undue stress. All the Prashant-created scares are bound to take a toll on her...Aarti's silence and abetment to lies are not taken lightly by the audience, so a grievous health condition (maybe MC) may gain her some sympathy votes...!!!
Have a nice day.š
