His words echoed in her mind while their eyes were still sealed with each other. She couldn't fathom depth of his words and he knew he had said something, he was not supposed to say.

Those eyes have been haunting him since he had seen her two days ago, and the painful words from her diary had pierced his heart. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't escape the gnawing pain, he had seen in those eyes.

"Hi, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada," Suraj called him, breaking their trance. She looked around and realized that she was in the business party, in secure embrace of a total stranger. Well, not a stranger but business tycoon, Arnav Singh Raizada.

"Oh, Khushi you are also here." Suraj's face was tensed and his eyes were spitting fire, when he saw Khushi in the embrace of Arnav Singh Raizada.

"Sorry for the disturbance she might have caused you, Mr Raizada. This girl is nothing but a bad luck." He told Arnav and then slanted his head towards Khushi again.

"Khushi, why don't you do something else instead of wasting precious time of Mr Arnav Singh Raizada?"

Embarrassed at their closeness, she tried to disentangle herself from him but he didn't let her go. Arnav didn't glance at the person who was passing those sarcastic comments. But he could senes the tension and uneasiness in her.

"Will you dance with me?" He asked her in a serious tone and before she could answer, he led her towards the dance floor, leaving flabbergasted Suraj behind.

He twirled her around gracefully. They both were lost in each other, oblivious to their surroundings. Her legs moved but her mind was still engrossed in Arnav's words.

We have met two days ago and that was supposed to be the end of this story, but fate has again brought us face to face. Why am I feeling something is changing within me?

What does he meant by "No because I will fall in my own eyes"? She thought.

He placed his hand around her waist and turned her to face him. His eyes have been lingering in her memories, since they had met. She was stunned to realize that the moment he had held her for the first time, some different feelings had coursed through her.

She believed that the agony in her life had dried the tears in her eyes. No matter how much she tried, she failed to shed those frozen tears.

But she was wrong. Soothing warmth of his nearness was melting those frozen tears of hers.

She placed her hand on his broad chest to push him back but he tightened his gripped on her shoulder. He could see a light lining of water in her eyes threatening to fall. He brought her forward and clasped her in his a soothing embrace. She felt as if he had breathed a soul into her lifeless body, through this simple hug.

Unbelievable! Yes it was totally unbelievable that a stranger could have such a soul stirring effect on someone. He patted her back to relax her and she simply obliged to his demand.

He was not her knight in shining armor because she was not allowed to wish for one. But still, he made her do what she couldn't do for months and that was to cry.

A tear escape her from her eye. She rubbed her cheek in disbelief and saw a water drop on her fingertip. In one day, Arnav Singh Raizada had successfully managed to melt those frozen tear within her. Wasn't it strange?

I thought that I was a lifeless body, who showed no sign of life in it. I was incapable of showing any emotion that can make me feel alive. BUT he made me feel like I am alive. I am still breathing. I still have some emotions buried inside me. But I can't betray myself. I can't have any feeling. A sob escaped her lips as she unwantedly broke the hug.

She didn't want to show her weakness or her tears. She tried to hide her tears from him as he moved her around in a dance step and then hugged her from her back.

"You don't know anything about my pain. Do you?" A few more tears escaped her eyes when she uttered those words.

"I may not know everything about you, but I do know what Pain is. I'm sure you think that I don't understand what you're going through.." He paused and then continued

"Yes, I don't know. But I know this pain that is visible in your eyes. But trust me the pain of remorse is worse than anything, when you don't have anyone to blame, nor fate, neither people but only yourself." He sighed.

"It does not help when you have others to blame for your misery either. Believe me, it doesn't help." She stepped back, and made her way out of the hall as the tears streamed down her cheeks. He stood there rooted at his place, gawking at her trailing figure. He was unable to stop her.

"This is another nightmare of my life. I can't be alive enough to feel anything, I simply can't be," She mumbled

He kept staring her trailing figure and thought.

I had been cursing my life till now. I have been burdened by the remorse but the pain in your eyes is burying me deeper into something that is way beyond angst. Would I ever be able to redeem myself?"

He walked towards the bar when Suraj appeared again.

"Mr Raizada, I am really obliged that you are willing to invest in Gupta's enterprise."

"Deal is off," His three words were enough to crumble all the hopes of Suraj Gupta.

Arnav Singh Raizada was not a person to argue with, so he didn't dare to utter a single word in response.

Continuous ringing of the doorbell woke her up, next morning. Hastily, she ran to open the door.

"Khushi, my friend, my business partner," Akash exclaimed and entered inside, almost pushing her back.

"Akash, keep it low, beejee would wake up. She was not feeling well, last night." Khushi warned him

"Don't expect me to lower down my volume. You know Arnav Singh Raizada is interested in our company and he is willing to invest. All we have to do is just sign the deal." Akash was excited over the news. He wanted to live in this city and do something of his own rather than going back to his hometown, where his parents would only force him to join family business.

"It's a miracle. I mean, why would he do that? And he is going to attend the meeting with us. This is another miracle. Just get ready; we have to leave in 30 minutes." Akash pushed her into her room and pleaded.

"Please, get ready fast. We don't have time. After so many months, we gonna get a deal and that too with Raizada Industries. Pinch me, and tell me that I am not dreaming." Akash beamed and closed the door.

Khushi changed her dress and sat in the car, lost in her thoughts. Akash blabbered excitedly, throughout the way, but Khushi kept mum.

"Why do you want to invest in our company?" Khushi asked him as soon as the initial introduction was over.

Arnav was startled at her question. It was a great opportunity and everyone looked for to work with Raizada Industries and here, she was asking such a weird question. Akash was about to have a heart attack.

"Now I am sure that Khushi has even lost last bit of her sanity." He twitched his nose and prayed silently.

"Oh God, either let Khushi suffer from the short term memory loss, and make her forget what she is about to say or at least let Arnav get partial amnesia and make him forget about this meeting altogether.

But to his dismay, nothing of that sort was going to happen. So he decided to witness the most disastrous situation of his life quietly.

"People wait for months to work with Raizada Industries and here you are getting a chance and you are refusing?"

"Exactly my point, why do you want to invest in our company? It would be pretty much obvious to a shrewd businessman like you that Gupta Enterprise is going through a bad phase and you didn't bother to look into the details. After our one meeting last night, you are willing to invest in it."

Arnav glanced at the girl standing in front of him in amusement. She was different, she was special for sure.

"You are right Miss Khushi, a shrewd businessman like me knows where to invest and when to invest."

He took a file from his table and placed it in front of her.

"This is your company profile, a few months ago. It was more than excellent. You still have the same staff and capabilities but this company is going through a rough patch because investors have withdrawn their money. So, I want to invest because I know what Gupta Enterprise is capable of and in current situation, I can crack a deal on my own terms and you are not in a condition to refuse. Are you?" He smirked

"You were right Miss Gupta; I am indeed a shrewd businessman."

She kept mum when she realized that he was right but still she had to make certain things clear.

"If you have wrongly assumed that I come free in with this deal, then you are mistaken."

"I don't put price tag on the people, not anymore. I know how precious a human life is and you don't need to worry on that part because Arnav Singh Raizada is not suffering from the shortage of attention from women kind." He placed the file back and looked confidently at her

"Just sign the papers and let's start."

Akash grinned and danced in his head while Khushi looked at Arnav in confusion.

"Now?" She asked.

"I don't waste time Ms. Khushi Gupta. You are working with RI, remember that."
