I am completely in love with Punar Vivah for many reasons -
I love the fact that the concept of remarriage has been shown very well...
Everyone needs to move on in life and make it more meaningful, loving and worthy of living - which can never be done by isolating yourself from people or your own emotions.
The character of Shobha in the first week got me completely attracted to the show as she was shown as a brilliant mother to her daughter- in -law. She was not shown as the typical Mom who always blindly supported her son in whatever he did - right or wrong!
Aarti and her gradual need for providing Ansh with a father's love was all beautifully brought forward...
Yash and his acceptance of Aarti after seeing her as a caring and responsible mother who would have fit his requirements of being a mother to his daughters was also fair.
Then came the journey of a couple discovering in each other that there were no demands placed on them for their selfish needs but it was an innate fascination for their true characters which gets them closer.
The mutual respect which they carry forward in all their conversations does NOT in any way deplete their romance...in fact it adds to it by keeping each one guessing when those magical words would be said!
Yash's mother too after the initial hesitation in accepting Aarti has moved on to being a very sensible mother in law.
All the family members have a role to play- so each character gets its due space along the story.
Lastly Maya bua - I think is amazing though the character is irritating...because she comes in to add the right amount of spice needed to keep the story going...and most importantly she has a deep psychological reason for making Aarti's life hell as she is a widow herself unable to come to terms with the fact that Aarti could move on easily and enjoy matrimony and companionship which had eluded her in her younger days! So let us give it to her!
Hope you all agree with at least some of my views...😊
PV truly rocks!👏
