They never seem to have gotten along...even before Shahrukh started taking the digs on Aamir at Filmfare..is it because Aamir is Gauri's favorite? Or because of that fight with Juhi that Aamir had, & SRK sided with Juhi ...or perhaps they simply don't like each other and don't need a reason for it 😆

Exactly. I've been mad, disappointed, pitied him even, or whatever...but hate hasn't happened..and somehow it's very hard for me to imagine hating this man...unless he goes and kills someone or something. 😕

If nothing else, I will always admire what you said at the end--the love, respect he has for his fans. I think it was Poppy who had said out of all the stars, SRK seems like the only one who still LOVES getting mobbed by fans, giving autographs, getting hugs at any time of day...the only one who has always truly realized that fans make you who you are...at some point or the other, a lot of stars become detached or annoyed with their stardom, but he seems to be as in love with it as he was back in the early 1990's.

@blue: There are so many theories regarding the cold vibes they share that I really cannot tell which one is true..lol. As far as I can remember, things were very sour at one point when I think Aamir called Shahrukh his dog on his blog. Even though I love Aamir, that was very distasteful on his part and then Shahrukh retorted with "My kids were his fans" or something. That seemed to really openly draw the battle lines. I don't think I've seen any recent interview where either of them talks fondly of the other. Not that it really matters, but there was a time when they did acknowledge each other warmly.

@red: I can safely say that is so true. He has been in the field for years now and God know how many times he has been mobbed but every single time people turn out to see him, he makes sure he reaches out to them to the best of his ability. I also love the way he handles the crowds, I saw the making of MNIK and Shahrukh went upto the fans and told them he would come back after the shot and interact with them but they had to remain quiet for a little while, and then he very truly came back and made sure he spent time with them. Another video from Germany had this mother hold up her little daughter and Shahrukh very sweetly hugged the child. I just find men who can interact so warmly with kids very endearing. His interviews give the viewers arrogant vibes but when you see him in person he is anything but arrogant. He's definitely not perfect. He has his good and his bad but the way he connects with his audience and fans is commendable.

Then the Aamir question...she talks about how last week Aamir told her his biggest fear was losing his creative instinct & how the audience connects to his films, and if SRK also has that fear? He said no because creative instinct has nothing to do with how the audience reacts to it. Creativity is personal and a bunch of stuff like that...so he doesn't fear losing the instinct in connection with the audience. The he talked about how he wants to till forever even if no one watches...and how sometimes he knows his films won't work while doing them but still does them..he was kinda contradicting his points here and it got slightly confusing. 😆

True, the cold war so to speak has been there for many many years now, but all the digs SRK used to take at Aamir on Filmfare awards combined with Aamir's dog retaliation was probably the final straw for the two. There's a very stand-offish attitude both have towards each other, as if they really have to try very hard to say anything remotely positive about each other without making faces. 😆 ...yeah about the dog comment, SRK had retaliated by saying something like I wasn't bothered, but my kids were very upset since they're big Aamir fans. Apparently Suhana for a long time used to think Shahrukh was Aamir...she would see SRK and say Aamir Khan! 😆 Don't think SRK would have been very happy about that. 😆 All that being said, I think Aamir thinks mentioning SRK at least once in relation to his film/shows/whatever new thing he sets out to do is a good luck charm 😆

Mhmm, yeah that's what everyone says...he may come across as the most arrogant prick ever, but one meeting with him & it's obvious he's not...and it's obvious why people like him. I think someone had posted this story about how SRK was eating in a restaurant and this little kid was crying nearby. He left his food to make the kid feel better...he didn't have to, but he did. 😃
