Okay, my questions:

• Since when did your interest in mythology start?

Pretty early.. Like everyone else...listening to stories.

• Any TV programs outside mythology that you watch?

My husband is currently waging a "Reduce TV watching" campaign in the family and I have been made an unwilling accomplice. So I am reduced to surreptitiously reading updates on I-F.😆(God bless the updaters 😛). I follow BALH on Sony on and off...despite the confusing storyline..

• Your favorite mythological character(s). Up to top 10

OK- It is tough to separate religion from mythology but considering from a purely mythological POV, my favourites would be (in no particular order)

1. Radha (don't know how she lived the rest of her life without Krishna)
2. Rukmini (don't know how she lived the rest of her life with Krishna) 😆
3. Uloopi (for the manner in which she sent her son to the war- despite not being accepted by her husband) 😭
4. Savitri (for her firm resolve to wed Satyavan- despite Narada's prediction / warning) 👍🏼
5. Arjuna (his dedication as a student- towards his subject, towards his guru,. Dronacharya and later on,Krishna)

• Your favorite mytho serial, and favorite mytho movie

None, really. Most of them have (DkDM, including) have steered away from the original stories which, kind of, makes it tough to sustain interest. There was one serial which I particularly liked, but it stopped midway. It was titled "Draupadi" with Mrinal Kulkarni in the lead role. The portrayal of Draupadi there was one of the best I had ever seen. Has anyone else watched it?

• Do you think that in a thousand years, CNAT will go mainstream and be held in the same esteem that Tulsidas, Kamban et al are held today, particularly if anyone translates it into Sanskrit? 😈

CNAT- ha ha. But I do think works like K M Munshi's 'Krishnavatara' or those of Devdutt Patnaik, will probably make it to the mainstream - because they blend the Puranic stories and the authors imagination so well and also beause they are not in Sanskrit I am not so sure of works like "Immortals of Meluah" or the other two in the Shiva Trilogy ( Have you read them?) or works of Ashok Banker.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but I can promise you more later 😈
