Nice post-Despite his mother making the decision with him- Rashid was a grown man with 4/5 kids at the time (don't know the ages specifically) so he himself is to blame for the pain he caused as it was his life not his mums and he also chose to saty with Shireen so he's to blame...

Rashid is qiute Mature for a woman like Shireen he doesnt fits with her Dilshad is really soft and subtle kind of a woman there must be some evil inbetween and Asad Ayaan living together in childhood makes it more clear that even after marriage of Rashid Dilshaad might have accepted the second wife...but then something bad wd have happened

Rashid was having an affair with shirin behind his first wife and then gotten married to shirin. He must have had two wife's at one time but was permanatly living with dilshad. Shirin must be unhappy due to limited time rashid could spend with her and she and her kids(ayan) must have even stayed in the same house for awhile. Shirin's brother wanted her sisters happiness and therefore offered Mr Rashid a lucrative offer of leaving Dilshad for a stake in business, rashids mother might have been instrumental in convincing rashid to make this decision ...rashids financial status must have had a sudden change during this time too, which could have contributed to it all. Its also possible that shirins brother might have had something to do with it so that rashid has a break down in turns of his financial loss related to his business.

It is quite often seen that the reason behind divorces usually is a third person.
I won't be surprised if granny emotionally blackmailed Rashi and got him married twice.
