Why shiv what he did today: My take

There is a thought that why Shiv could not go and speak with Anandi.

Simple reason: He thought Anandi would NEVER back out herself and be with shiv cause she did get into the marriage as it was her mothers last wish.

If SHIv would have talked to Anandi , it would not clear out the doubts that were put in his mind by Jagya.

And rightly so.

Anandi is a woman of Principles. Even I said that, when Anandi was forced by her mother to marry shiv, that no matter what she will go ahead with the marriage.

So shiv thought exactly that, that she was being forced. And that she would never go back on her word. He knows that so he had to take that step.

BUT, in my opinion the same logic, Shiv failed to apply towards the other side of the argument.

Shiv knew from Anandi , that she has NO feelings for Jagya.

She had herself come out and told to his family and him that she does not have any feelings for him.

Shiv should have thought and realized that the girl who would never back off from marrying him,cause she had given her word to her dead mother would also never just say things out of lie or trying to cover up things.

He loves her for her honesty. So he should have known that Anandi , if she said she has moved on then that means she has MOVED ON.

Even on the day of her forgiving Jagya, she clearly stated that she is forgiving him because she wants to move ahead with her second relationship and letting go of this burden from her life.

His emotions clouded him to see the other side of the story.

On Monday Anandi will make it clear that,

Yes I have moved on. I will NOT live with Jagya no matter what.

with you or without you.. my life is moving ahead.

Of course she knows the reason behind the rejection. That def. helps her mind that he is not rejecting her based on his own selfish reasons but its infact an act done out of false judgements based on pure love.

She is smart enough to understand that. So she will forgive shiv for this mistake.

Shiv I hope will learn his lesson that, if Anandi says something , its cause she means it and there is no fakeness in it or hidden sacrifice. When Gauri came into the picture then she told gauri, when she had come to take permission from Anandi to start her new life.

Anandi despite of being BROKEN, said, when you did not ask me permission to marry jagya then why ask now?

She said I will not wish you bad so do not worry and she had stood on her word ever since.

Its only when Jagya went ahead with the bhaboot disgust , did she actually curse him by saying he will never find happiness and it remains true now.

Anywayzz...

Shiv, you are getting a gem!! of a person. Take care of her :)

Wonderful post Suchi...! You are right...Shiv did not think all this from all angles and that is the reason, he took wrong decision...He should have consulted someone, atleast Bhairon, who he knows always stood by Anandi...If he wanted to know her, he should have called Sumitra first...Anything, except just announcing his decision...! They could have tried to understand him and tell him, if what he was doing is correct decision or not...

And yeah, Anandi too understood him and his pain...That was the reason, she told the truth of Jagya in front of everyone, because she knew, how much Shiv was suffering, just looking in his eyes...Though she might be angry, she still knows that he loves her and was doing this for some reason...Not for his selfishness...!

I am looking forward to Monday's episode, for Anandi to speak out, Shiv to know the truth and Jagya to get what he deserves...I am remembering the story of the bird that gave golden egg every day...! Greed surely makes you do strange things...First he was greedy for forgiveness, even though he knew his sins were unforgivable...Atlast he got it and then he wanted his family back and live happily in Haveli, like a king...He got that too, and instead of accepting Anandi's decision, he got more greedy and wanted Anandi too, even if he knew that he had given her grief to last a life time, he once again did something behind her back, hurting everyone in process, just to loose everything at once...!

I am eager to see Anandi Shiv making up and Anandi complaining and crying in Shiv's arms, while Shiv saying sorry and consoling her, saying he would never ever do anything like this and always be there with her...!

Suchi, very nice post!! As far as why Shiv could not go and speak with Anandi.....I can present a full paper on this lol. If Anandi is a gal of principle he is no less. He has actually surpassed her today.

S knows very well AJee has moved on ...but he knows she is a FAMILY GAL ...apno ki liye kuch bhi karege. I think unintentionally he has given her a LITMUS TEST. But there was not so much of critical thinking involved, in Shiv's part . It was pure raw emotion & love for FAMILY. He does NOT want to erect a Taj mahal on somebody's broken dreams. He knows Ajee too wont be happy with this. They are like 2 Peas in a POD.

No doubt, Shiv is in LOVE with Anandi but he has accepted DS & the Singhs wholeheartedly. This outburst was coz of that only. He in his wildest dream cannot imagine to hurt DS. Such is his family values.

He has seen Anandi do the same. So maybe for a few sec he thought that maybe DS is right & she surely can get Anandi & J together. He had thought ...mere kuch kahe bina DS had read my mind, when she asked him to marry Ajee on his birthday. It was she who was instrumental in bringing them closer...Anandi was not in LOVE with him. So he thought that maybe DS has seen the sparks and can work her charm around JA & unite them....unko unka BEta mil jayega...Mahanata meter mai he scores FULL points. He sure brought Ajee back from the road to Vatican but coz of too much exposure to Ajee ...today he is himself ready for CANONIZATION.
He goes to the temple takes God's blessings and goes on mission impossible ...It is better to have LOVED & lost than not to have loved at all 😭
With God's blessing & Ajee's love he'll triumph!!

Suchi, Vamita, Nice posts.. I'm waiting for Monday. Anandi will silence everybody with her words. Jagya, Dadisa, Shiv, ChotiMa, everybody will realize how wrong they were in their respecive opnions about Anandi.

Anandi had given enough reasons to Shiv to doubt her love. But she also had given him more reasons to trust her love. It is sad that, J succeeded to make S remember only the ambiguous incidents. Anandi should not say or do anything to help Jagya. Even the shadow of J brings bad luck to A.

I feel very sad that even Shiv did not understand A. No matter what, A will never accept another woman's man. She means what she says. She says what she means. She is the epitome of integrity.

Suchi: Slightly disagree here of Shiv getting clouded on emotions. His decision was not implusive at all and not wrong either. Anandi would have done the same thing in Shiv's place if Ashi or any other girl would have come in between.

'MOVED ON '.. The way Jagya painted the picture to Shiv was she was forcing herself to move on because of her principles and her promise to her mom. He clearly realized yesterday that from the proposal to the sagai she was reluctant and was doing it to fulfil her mother's promise. Post-sagai, it seemed to him (from what Jagya said) like she was comprimsing to what was her fate.

Based on what Jagya said, the turning point for Shiv was DS turning around. If Jagya had not used that card then Shiv would never have believed Jagya. He assumed that since DS saw JaAn reunion instead of AnSh he didn't want to hold Anandi back from her happiness. He thinks DS knows Anandi better than himself. If DS thought that JaAn could happen then there was something to it. Jagya said the right things, she never confessed her feelings, if any for Shiv. Shiv never wanted her to comprimise her life with him. Apart from being best friends she has not expressed her feelings to him.

Anway, the CVs decided to open up Anandi's feelings in a high voltage drama, making her choose her life partner for the first time on her own without being forced onto. That's all this is. No mistake of either of them is what I have resigned to. Because if they ever made Anandi open up a bit more to Shiv then this day would never have come.

nice post. shiv condition n his selfless love all understandable. jagya redemption track started already. at a point he must not ve believed jagya n take hasty decision. with emotions n love he took wrong decision. he might consult with his family mems who can understand not they won't allow now to stop mrg n all if atleast tried to talk with his daddu or dad some one in his family mems as they are shown so mature n understanding while taking decision. before day confessing love n other day cancelling mrg doesn't go well with his character. anandi will understand shiv intentions n will clear all things.

ITA and I would to like to add an alternate POV re Shiv's reason for cancelling sagaii today.

Shiv knows Anandi is aware that he is in love with her and will not give her up. Shiv is also secure of Anandi's commitment to their relationship. However, Anandi-Jagia jodi thought needs to be uprooted from every person's conciousness(read Basant, Gehna, DS, nandu, and of course Jagia). Additionally, Shiv does not want to be embarassed by similar behavior from Jagia or DS anytime in the future (that is Jagia familiarity with Anandi). What better opportunity to destroy the myth of Anandi-Jagia jodi than that provided by Jagia himself? And so Shiv resorted to the most drastic resort - that of breaking his engagement to Anandi. This gave Anandi the choice to continue to live single, marry Jagia, or choose to marry him (of course he was sure she would choose to marry him) and publicly state her choice. It also made Basant, DS and Jagia to publicly acknowledge where Jagia stood in Anandi's life.

The whole point was to uproot the Jagia weed from festering in AnSh's life and Shiv played a master stroke to achieve this objective!

Anonee, I get your POV and completely agree with it!! But this whole calling off the wedding was not so much of a calculated risk. So I wouldn't call it a master stroke. He took the decision from the HEART. He wanted to actually bring J & A together. But God heals & helps those who are pure in heart so it turned out in his favor😳.

ya shiv took decision frm heart n on sacrificing mode n actually not left option anandi to choose but just sacrificing for Ajee hapiness😊
