In real life too, how can anyone be okay with their partner's ex hanging around all the time? Trusting your partner is good, but there is also something called self-preservation.

To answer your qs. Is Shiv an Idiot? Nope he is man of self-hood at times a bit possessive ( he hated and was freaking mad😡 when Jughead was holding Ajee's arms😉) . A man who knows who he is and what he wants( he wants only Ajee's happiness). He is a rational man... with power to reason. And above all he is always able to hear everybody's point of view. Well, a fiercely determined man like him with a razor-sharp tongue--and an intellect to match and strong hands so Jagia should watch out 😉😆.

Well,when Shiv came in as Kadak kadak collector ''he made it very clear to Ajee that he makes his own choices. Does not believe in hearsay. He rationally explained to Ajee that blind obedience to another human being is always a misguided choice (ex: Shiv told Ajee'I'll form my own opinion about Het Singh). Morality means making the best choices possible regardless of who does or does not approve. Keeping That theory in mind he offered J his computer to work. Everybody needs a second chance😉. But how will Shiv know that Jagia's intellect has gone wayward in its attempts to find a place in his home & among his people. Anyways his new dumb experiment with the railways figures will surely give new meaning to his existence and change his geography for ever. 😉😆.
Illogical madness in soap is called DRAMA!!! Dussehra is round the corner...we'll see the victory of Collector Shiv over the demon king Jagia. 😃 I think Rama had cut off 10 heads of Ravana here it will be 6 heads of Jagia (hint hint 😉) . Get set for ...Shouts of 'Collector sshab ki jai' & 'Sarpanch betiya ki jai'...it will be soon heard on the streets of Jaitsar. This will surely knit ANSH love muscles stronger!!
