Farah Khan bonds with Shakira while rehearsing for her concert tonight

Even as Farah Khan braces herself for the big night where she choreographs pop star Shakira's 'Hips don't lie' for a performance at Radio City, New York, she was seen bonding big-time with the pop icon, hours before the performance.
Said Farah from NY, "Shakira and I have connected beautifully. She loves the movements that I've given her. So much so that she now wants me to do a music video for her. She's into Indian classical dancing. In fact, she's got an Indian lady in Chicago teaching her the classical mudras. What's more, Shakira will be starting her item tonight with some mudras. Her dance is a mix of Bollywood and Columbian style."
And what will Shakira wear? "What struck me about Shakira first is that she is very tiny. It's a blend of the Indian and Columbian look, with a veil covering her face. Shakira looks like a classic Indian princess from the Amar Chitra Katha comic books. Closer to our films, the parallel could be drawn to the Amrapali costumes that all our heroines from Vyjanthimala to Sridevi have worn in their films. All I can tell you is Shakira is looking hot and Indian. Do you know there's a huge hoarding of Shakira draped in a sari in NY advertising her item on MTV America tonight?" Apparently Shakira loves Shah Rukh Khan. "She has seen 'Chaiyyan chaiyyan' from Dil Se and keeps pointing to Shah Rukh in the song and exclaims, 'I know that guy!' I told her he's the Tom Cruise of India. I've promised her I'll put her on top of a train when I do a music video with her."
Is she experiencing any nervous pangs for the event tonight? "I'm never stressed about anything to do with myself these days. I only get stressed about my husband and his film. But yes, Shakira gave me only two days to rehearse and that isn't too much," says Farah.
