Over hype can kill a movie!

Hope these industry people learn to not over sell and let the movies do their own talking.

opening of TDP was because of the big promotional drive and also because

Vidya has NEVER acted in a stupid time pass movie. the movie goers went to

see the actress of MBBS Parineeti Paa No one Killed Jessica. It became huge

hit because the movie was true to its intent, to try and accurately portray Silk.

Inspite of ooh laa laa and skin show, the movie had integrity and style.

Kahaani didnt get that big opening because the promos were too dark for the

aam janta; i mean those aam janta who cant afford to keep buying tickets

and want masala and to forget their troubles for 3 hours. when the WOM spread

ki its a fantastic paisa vasool movie, it became a hit.

Heroine got its opening because of its Madhur Bhandarkar tag, its kareena 100

crore khan heroine tag, UTV had just released Barfi (fantastic) and Kahaani

came from UTV stable. Add to that the over the top promotions, the skin show

the item song.

People who werent Kareena fans didnt like the movie content so WOM slowed

it down until it dwindled and came to full stop in first week.
