thats nice... I think boxofficeindia just gave week one report while Taran gave 10 days report week one plus 3 days for weekend

so it means Heroine with a total budget of 32 crores has already made 8 crore of profit, and here we have not included its overseas business, and income from satellite video and music rights.
plus the movie has still to collect more in the coming weeks

I think Heroine is ALREADY a moderate success... seems like I have to change the title of my thread in a few days 😊

I dont understand why Komal says the budget of the film is 32 crores without promotions.

That does NOT make any sense. Look at the sets of the film or its production value. Most of it was shot in India, there isnt any huge male lead, its only Kareena, apart from halkat no other song sequences shot. There is NOT WAY that the film's budget was 32 crores without promotions.

All other sites have reported a budget within 20 crores and 32 WITH promotions, and that makes much more sense.

One of the biggest reason was that, it was over-promoted. People were expecting a lot from the movie especially after the crazy promotion that went for a month and they didn't get that much except Kareena's performance so thats y it's not sustaining very well...

Its like EMAET, some say average, some say flop! Unfortunately it has been surrounded by so much negativity that even if its an average grosser people will always remember it as a flop. There have been million articles already on how heroine is a flop!

Probably distributors will lose the money. Producer might get some profit but at the end its distributors who have to earn money to call a film hit or flop. So Heroine was sold on high price to the distributors but eventually due to poor performance at BO they will lost their money. Hence it may be called Flop or Average movie,.

I think its from the distributors POV! and the budget is quite a mystery in itself. We cannot be sure of its being 32 crores!

Regardless of its true verdict, its a lost case. The aam janta dont do much research into verdicts, they have already started calling it a flop and even if it becomes average, it will be remembered as a flop! Im speaking with reference to its image not the actual verdict!

Yeah that makes sense.. but I still think that even for the distributors a 32 crore budgeted movie which earned 40 crores in just 10 days (only India's business) and still going on seems tough to be proven a loss case .. lets see where the next few weeks will take this movie

But aik baat toh hai, keh iss film say Kareena ko koi khaas faeydaa nahi huwa as compared to priyanka from Fashion... well good luck for her future ventures

Didn't watched the complete movie yet.. but heard its very uni-dimensional, tiresome and poorly edited and directed...

Don't know what happened to an otherwise brilliant filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar... issay Kareena baychaari ki turn aanay par hee gundd karna thaa
