Dunno about Jayanti, but Devasena was not a biological daughter of Indra / Sachi. According to Kanda Puranam, she was created as an ansh of Lakshmi - when Lakshmi's glance fell on two lotuses, they were transformed into baby girls- one was sent to Earth to be adopted by Nambiraja- a tribal chief. This girl would go on to become Kartikeya's second wife. The other girl was sent to Indra - and was in fact brought up by Airavata in a human form. She came to be known as Devasena

Does Shiva Purana have Parvati cursing the Devas? The serial 'Om Namah Shivay' showed some thing similar.

And thanks for the update, Sia. Must be a torture to write about something so blatantly wrong.

Thanks for the update.

Vrish like your comments. But when does Parvati curse Ganga? I dont know of it either. and as far as I know, Shiva himself gave the spark a it is called here to Agni and Vayu who then went to the forest. So which version is this?

And quite agree on the kids too. Most of these known devas had kids either with their wives or through some one else.

ive heard of Parvati cursing the devtas,but im still wondering about the story of Parvati cursing Ganga!-that too that she will be polluted🤣...

Shruti the curse is that the people on earth will wash away their sins in her. But then shiv will counter the curse with ganga will remain pure inspite this . :))) that holds good for present day.. since the final destination for an Indian is to do the ganga snan at least once in a life time.

Except for the part where she curses the Gods that they will not have children. The part today where she curses Ganga sounded quite relevant. By the way Sona was looking smashing as Adishakti.

In the Kanda Purana, from what I understand, Jayant was also a POW of Surapadman, and Veerabahu went to him in the guise of an insect to assure him that Kartikeya would liberate him.

Jayanti didn't 'marry' Shukracharya - she was just his concubine for a while, b4 he left her. She may have given birth to somebody, but that part I'm not sure.

@Vrish Surya dev had five children with Sandhya and three with chaya devi who was Sandhya's shadow

Sandhya's children were - Vaivasvat, Yam, Yamuna, 2 Ashwini Kumars
