Emotional Shaan breaks down

Now this was absolutely real. Unlike the usual showdowns on Gajendra Singh's previous shows like Challenge 2005 and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, where the singers and the judges continuously fought among themselves, here, it was everybody's favourite host Shaan dada who broke down on the sets of Zee Tv's Lil Champs. The episode will be aired tonight.
Shaan, who is otherwise a composed guy, got carried away while shooting for the episode, dedicated to 'parent-child' relationship. As an onlooker says, "This week's episode is an emotional one. The contestants are supposed to sing songs of their parents' choice. But as the participants started singing, tears started rolling down his eyes." He adds, "When Pawni (a contestant from Mumbai sang 'Tu mera Dil Tu Meri Jaan, Oh I love U daddy (Akele Hum Akele Tum), Shaan burst out crying."
When contacted, Shaan says, "On seeing the parents getting emotional, I couldn't hold my tears. Their (the contestants' parents) eyes spoke volumes about how happy and proud they were, seeing their children sing on stage. Personally, I never got an opportunity to make my parents happy. I was very young (13 yrs) when my dad (Manas Mukheerji) passed away. I tried my best to control my emotions but could not hide it for long."
That got the judges into action who consoled him with comforting words.
