What's new about that? We have Salman Khan who is not an actor but is a big star. There is Katrina Kaif among the females!

At least Kareena can act...please she is not just a star...

Okay your American friend is just like anyone else on this forum... some members like bebo some like Vidya. But I don't understand why your lumping bebo with kat. Kareena is yes a star but she's also an actress.

may be your FRIEND thinks that VIDYA is better ACTRESS because she is VOLUPTUOUS == where as Kareena is Size ZERO -- / @@ Afterall SIZE does matter -- for some ./ 😉 I did not LIKE TDP for most part -- it was kind of B-grade stint - with cheap DIALOGUES and dance number where vidya was SHAKING her size 36 waist -- / @@ HEROINE -- lets wait and watch -- / @

i think two of the biggest female stars/brands in india kareena and priyanka are also two of the best actresses in bw.

vidya i think will always be a great actor but never be a brand. and katrina will be a brand but not a good actor.

its hard to say who is the best because everything depends on the role they are given. you dont really know how kareena would have played vidya's character in TDP or kahani or any other movie. jus as you dont know if vidya would have been able to pull off kareena's roles.

acting is alot more then the actor, its about the director, the script, the role and much much more. also some roles give you alot more scope to act where as others dont. i think vidya balan is a very good actress and has been able to play some very interesting characters but one can never really know who is the best...unless two people literally go n play the same exact character in the same exact movie

We certainly have much better actresses than Kareena. But in the past 3-4 years her competition has been very poor hence Kareena got the hype of being a superstar and a good actor.
