UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE: FEMALE STARS, not BEST ACTOR?!

😉😆 Okay, we all know BEBO and KAT are strong female stars but not the best ACTORS. When I showed my American friend (yes, the one I show Bollywood movies to) the trailors of HEROINE, he didn't look impressed. 😕 And when I told him the plot of HEROINE, he says to me, "COME on now, this sounds so similar to the DIRTY PICTURE." Ever since I showed DIRTY PICTURE to my friend, he is convinced VIDYA is the best actress and not even BEBO can beat her. In fact, he is not even impressed with "HALKAT JAWANI." He said, "She may be the top star, but that doesn't mean she can beat VIDYA or is the best actress." 😲 I am not kidding about his opinion. And this is coming from an AMERICAN! I was shocked to say the least. But, I am going to take my friend and show him HEROINE. So, is VIDYA the only example of someone who is a FEMALE STAR and the BEST ACTOR? And KAREENA and KAT FEMALE STARS who are not the best actors? Please share your thoughts. 👏

I think Kareena is a good actress. It's not like she makes you cringe when she speaks or tries to emote (ahem ahem Katrina). Also, after watching Barfi, I have a new found respect for Priyanka as an actor. Not that I hated her before, but still, I really respect her for letting go of her glamdoll look and completely transforming into her character. She looked kinda ugly without all the makeup that she normally has but it's that very ugliness which made her beautiful.

No I think Kareena is a very good actress, I think she's got Chameli, Omkara, Kurbaan, Jab We Met to name a few, but yeah Vidya has done some pretty darn good stuff. Although I still need to watch Kahaani. And I haven't yet seen Barfi!

🤗 Thank you for saving the day my love. I thought this topic had bitten the dust. Your E-PATI seems to be losing his edge. Anyway, I need to convince my American friend BEBO is a good actress. Priyanka is underrated, hope Barfi! helps her get more films.

^^^the last Bollywood film I've watched was Mausam...and I haven't watched anything new :(( need to buy a load full of films and catch up! Been so lazy!
