I guess it also depends on the type of the movie the actress had her debut with... for instance say Parineeti...she'd be typecast in the roles of bubbly effervescent character. Wonder why noone is signing her. She has an amazing screen presence and a uniqueness in her overall personality. Deepika, Asin, Anushka and all hardly had much to do in their debut.. they were overshadowed by their heroes there and had less scope to prove themselves. Hence got more chances to prove later.

If they make lot of noise at the start of their careers due to good work or the promise they show if they dont have the 'real stuff' they eventually go away faster. Whereas if they dont get too much attention initially and get a few more chances again they do better as they understand the hard work that needs to go in to attain success. But yes a poor debut in most cases results in the debutant getting lesser chances to prove herself as compared to a successful debutant.

hmm good observation. Well true in many cases, they get carried away in glitz and glamour.But ofcourse there are exceptions to this.
