Even though everybody( Savita, Manav, Archana and Damodar) are at fault here, Archana is the one to have suffered the most, followed by Manav. Archana is the one who had to live without her husband and her children for 18 years, she was the one who had to struggle to support her old mother and her daughter despite having a well to do husband. She was the one who had to face the hatred of her husband and children when she got to see them after 18 years.
Manav did not have to go through as much pain and suffering, but he had to stay away from his only true love and suffer.
Hence these 2 people are the ones who should at least be forgiven as whatever their faults were, since the punishment they got for them was much greater than the crimes. Savita never paid for her crimes, its her turn now.
About Damodar, he is only guilty of hiding the truth, not of committing the crime. Also he did redeem himself at last by bringing out the truth. Not sure if he deserves any punishment. Not sure if anyone else would not have done the same had they been in his shoes.
