After watching everything come out in the open in yesterday's episode, I have to wonder who really is to blame for the truth taking 18 long years to come out.
Is it SAVITA: She thought Archana was after her son's money and wanted to protect him. As a mother, she did what she thought was best. Even though, she was keeping Ovi and Teju away from their mother, she thought in the long run it was in their best interest. Especially after what happened with Soham and the court case against Manav.
Is it MANAV: He was already feeling betrayed and hurt by Archana after the court case. To top it off, after he repeatedly warned Archana about leaving Soham with Varsha, she went ahead and did what she wanted anyway. That resulted in Soham being presumed dead. He was hurt and grieving for his son. He also wanted to protect his daughters from Archana and thought the best thing was to move to Canada. He told this to Archana and she being Mahaan, decided to give them without a fight. At the last minute, he sent a ticket to Archana with his mother. He could have gone for himself. In all the 18 years, didn't he once think to call her and probably decide on a divorce? What was he waiting for? Is that how much he loved Archana? If he had not received the fake divorce papers, would he still be in Canada pining away?
Is it ARCHANA: She betrayed Manav by taking the chawl people's side in court. She told so many hurtful things about him in the court. She insulted Manav and snatched Soham from Manav's arms and gave him to Varsha at the twins birthday party. These things caused Manav to distrust her and possibly hate her to a point. When he told her that he was taking the twins to Canada because he could not trust her with the daughters, she did not protest. She just gave them up without a fight. What kind of mother soon after losing a son, she just gives away her other children? When Savita brought the custody papers, she could have refused to sign and spoken to Manav for herself. But no, she wanted to prove Manav's point of not caring for her children by just signing away the papers. She did not even think to see them for one last time before they left. It wasn't until Sulochana put some sense in her that she decided at the eleventh hour, to go to the airport. Of course she missed the flight. In all of the 18 years, she did not think for once to try to contact them, Even through Damodar or Aashana. Now when she has the opportunity to reconcile with her children, she again prefers to deprive her daughters of their mother by agreeing to Sachin's ridiculous scheme. Does she really deserve sympathy?
Is it DAMODAR: He claimed last night that he did not want to separate a son {Manav} from his mother{Savita}. No, he preferred to keep a husband away from his wife and children from their mother. He preferred to watch his son suffering for 18 years without his wife. He preferred watching the twins grow up without their mother and hating her also, All that, than to tell Manav the truth. How much pain and suffering could have been avoided. Does he really think that Manav will hate Savita less after 18 years?
Just my 2 cents. Feel free to agree or disagree.
