These days a movie's fate is decided by it's publicity! In the past we've had extremely horrible movies recover their costs and make some more just due to the effective publicity!(am not going to give names lest this post turn into a war zone)

The following is a list of common methods used by actors/ directors/ producers to promote their movie:

1. rumor of lead actors having an affair

2. rumor of lead actors not getting along

3. collaborating with television shows especially reality shows

4. using blind items(it can't be a coincidence that masand digs up dirt on some long lost star who's movie is just going to release week after week)

5. controversial remarks about things completely unrelated to the movie(read shirish kunder)

6. covers with lead magazines(filmfare has started this new trend ever since their magazine became bi monthly)

7. aamir khan comes up with promotions to unique to be generalised so let's just call this the aamir khan way

I'd like to know what is the most bizzare promotional activity/publicity stunt you've come across!

I find Vidya Balan's publicity stunt quite amusing. She always promote her movies wearing her character's getup. What if she plays a bikini model in her movie?🤢🤢

@bold, this is the actually the right way of publicizing one's movie!! People go to the theater to see the film the characters not the actors (barring Salman who is almost himself)

in the west, at least in interviews i have noted Christian Bale keeps the same accent as his character so that people do not get confused or distracted!!

i wished more actors would follow Vidya. The other day i saw pc in the star world show - front row. I had a tough time digesting this glam doll is actually playing an autistic character in the film. Had she worn something simple and close to her character it would be easier to relate!

like idk if u saw his rant...bt even in that swearing he leggit had american accent cz he was in his charachter...bt as he continues yelling his brutish accnt starts showin up cz he is now bein himself

dat guy is a genius...no one is close to him in bwood 😆

n yup I like VB coming in her charachters too

Ya, but he doesn't give interview wearing Batsuit nor does he arrive for the promotional event in the Batmobile.
