Was AISH's performance really that BAD in DHOOM 2?

😉😆 I just watched Dhoom 2 again. Such a great movie for its time. Now, when I look at Aish's performance in Dhoom 2, it isn't that bad like people make it out to be. Aish's English is better than Kat's Hindi anyday. 😲 And this is coming from an Aish fan. I still am and always will be. But, the point of this topic is to convince once and for all Aish did her part well in Dhoom 2. She danced, emoted, and gave it all her effort. The "Are you like checking me out?" line in the movie was not even the whole performance. How can people assume she is bad just with one dialogue?! There were parts where Aish shined, especially the basketball scene with Hrithik and all her scenes with him throughout the film. Can today's actresses do a Dhoom 2 with conviction? 😕 I am sure Asin, Sonam, Sonakshi, and even Deepika would look out of place. Sure, they could show their body well. But, Dhoom 2 requires starpower which none of these girls have. Aish had starpower with Hrithik, that is why the movie worked. Did anyone notice Uday, Biphasa, or even Abhishek for that matter?! Kat is doing Dhoom 3, so what. But, I can bet you right now she will not be able to match up with Aamir Khan. It is like putting a sour lemon with a tasty apple. 😆 Anyway, we all know Aish is good in period films and performance-driven roles under a Bhansali, Ratnam, or Gowariker. However, this was one of Aish's chances to portray a glam character and I didn't expect anything award-worthy. It wasn't the performance of the last 10 years, but when we look at today's heroines, they make Aish's performance look iconic! Please share your thoughts. Was AISH's performance really that BAD in DHOOM 2?

LOL appntly one of my friend has seen Dhoom 1... and I told him there is a dhoom 3. he's going to see both 2 and 3. haha

Forget Aish, the entire movie was utter crap. I just rewatched it on Sony as well. 😆

if u want to say that Ash's act was asking for sympathy from the audiences throughout the film, then yes she was really cool 😆

Her character was supposed to be wannabe-ish and cocky and that's exactly what we saw on-screen. Even the way she spoke - the wannabe cool English and throwing "LIKE" in every sentence. And moreover, she was double acting in the role. She was actually a thief who was assigned by the police to nab Mr.A.

She had a full fledged role, not a bimbo's role whose only job is to smile and look good. She had the best dance moves. It was a full-on glamorous role and her chemistry with Hrithik in this film is still talked about fondly. Their chemistry overshadowed the rest of the starcast and was the USP of the film.

Can we ever think of a Rani, Kajol, Preity or Karishma in this role? Or Katrina, Deepika, Sonam, Sonakshi, Kareena? Nah... nobody would've done justice to Sunehri's character other than Ash - be it in looks, dance or the attitude with which she enacted it.

Being neutral kat is no actor i agree, but i have never been as annoyed seeing her or any other non-actor on screen as much as i was with aish in dhoom-2. She was just annoying, that sums it up. The problem with her is, she does not have good comic timings, so every time she has to act all cool and funny, it would fall flat right away.
