I dont think he had any regrets about the lovemaking...only thing is when reality set in , the morning after, and seeing the broken bangles and the cut she had on her wrist, , he realized that he must have been rough with her the night before...That's it.

i don't think he has any regrets of consummation...what makes him guilty...regret is the reality hit...it was anand's death anniversary...as that one moment brought the past back in his eyes that anand deeply in love with siddhi...he was abt to get married to her and its wrong for him to love the women his late brother once fall in love...and also he felt that he have broken the promise he made to siddhi that he would not cross his limits in this relationship...he was already in guilt that he have fallen in love with the same women his late brother once fall in love with...and when siddhi cries looking at anand's photo...it pricks him even more...and he felt that siddhi is still in love with anand...and he made a grave mistake that broke both anand's and siddhi love and trust...he was deeply hurt and curse himself for loosing control in that one weak moment...and he was also in the pain that siddhi loves anand...and not him...that is another pain in his heart...he loves her deeply...he doesn't regret for the consummation...but deep down he could not confess to her as he felt siddhi is still in love with anand...therefore he opt for divorce...

i agree. I feel the same he broke down because Kunal being Kunal only understands teh language of right or wrong and for him sleeping with his brother's finance was wrong.. and obviously he felt
a ) he forced himself on Sidhi who according to him still loved anand and broke his promise
b) he forgot his brother death anniversary ...
but as such he never regretted sleeping with his wife but unfortunately for him his wife was his brother's ex..
