I was thinking II6 is no match for past seasons like II5 which got us Sreeram. Today mng, just for curiosity, I went back on you tube to see the past 4 seasons before II5 which I had never seen. I was really impressed with Abhijeet Sawant and even Sourabhee...Prashant Tamang was iffy for me...but I was simply blown away out of the water when I saw Karunya's videos.

And then seeing Sreeram in II5...was like Wow...what would have happened if these two faced off against each other in a finale...That would be one for the ages!!!!!!!! What do they put in the water in Hyderabad?

And then to come back to II6...what has this show come down to? This level now? I know you can't get a singer like Sreeram or Karunya every season but where did the judges go so horribly wrong this season? Can anyone in the top 4 in II6 hold a candle to either Karunya or Sreeram or even Sourabhee? After all we have now the supposed cream of II6? Poorvi in top 4? What does one say?

I was miffed when they sent Juhi Rai and Rajni Bala out in the second round and had a bad feeling from then on but didn't expect such a pathetic season at all. I think Ritika said it best last night...the judges didnt know what hit them and Anu Malik had to offer some lame limpish comment to save face...

Frankly this is it ...to borrow a line from Remo. Lost all interest to watch the remaining 4 epi's,,,,,who cares who wins now? This season has to be the biggest farce...

I had started watching from season 3 so had no idea about the prev seasons. I had heard some of Abhijeet S in Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and thought he was pretty good. But after reading this thread, i decided to investigate Karunya. Wowww! 😲 😲 He's so talented!I had read his name on forums before but hadn't checked him out. He is such a great singer. I feel Sreeram has more nuance in his voice and is more polished than Karunya but it's so sad Karunya didn't win. 😔 Does anyone know what he's up to these days (career wise?) 😊

Discovering the wonder that is Karunya made my day today. 😃 Although, the more i listen to his singing, the sadder i get that he didn't win. Truthfully though, winning doesn't guarantee much for his future but it would have been great for him to become Indian Idol2. Bless him, what a gem!
