Anant was lying lifeless; he was fighting the battle of life for the first time in his life. He was drawn into the ICU when the Bajpai's got to the hospital. Mohan enquired about the whole incident and Sughanda was in tears sitting down mentally praying. Om was extremely anxious and he did feel guilty for the first time. He looked over at Sughanda crying and for the first time he wasn't angry. "Sughanda, stop crying has hope nothing will happen to our son!" Om was unsure in his mind but his heart was saying it would be fine. Police ran into the hospital to enquire about the accident as it had to be forwarded as a police case. The doctors came out of the ICU to inform the family. Sughanda, Om and Mohan ran up to them to see what had happened "Doctor Saab mera beta theek to hai Na?" Sughanda was pleading. He looked over at all of them but his eyes were searching for one person "Is Miss Navya here? The patient is calling out her name?" the three of them looked at each other. "Doctor she is not here? We were expecting her to be her that is Anant's wife!" Mohan replied worriedly. Why is she not here? Does she know? Thoughts played in all their minds and Mohan immediately rang Navya. Navya was sleeping after a long while and she looked at her phone. She immediately thought it was Anant. But it wasn't. "Mohan bhaiya why is he ringing me so late at night?" She picked up the phone to greet him "Mohan bhaiya, what's wrong is everything okay?" Navya wondered. Mohan gulped and looked around. "Navya... Navya nothing is okay!" she stood up in shock. There was a long pause between his reply "Mohan bhaiya tell me what's happened? Is everyone okay?" Navya had a worried look and Mohan had gentle tears streaming from her eyes. "Navya... Anant..." Navya was getting really tense and anxious as soon as she heard his name her heart was pacing. "Bhaiya tell me is Anant okay? What has happened?" Mohan closed his eyes and he spoke "Anant ka accident ho chuka hai!" Mohan opened his teary eyes and he could hear a loud, hurtful scream on the other side of the phone. "Navya...!" she broke down completly. Tears pouring from her eyes like a river. The phone slipped out her hands and cut off. She slided down and sat on the floor. Her knees were tucked into herself and she cried soulfully. Gentle noises of pain, anguish were heard in room 420. Navya cried as she laid her head on the bed and realised that she needs to leave. She left everything the way it was. She ran like a lifeless zombie out of the house to the hospital. She didnt catch a neither rickshaw nor bus. She ran like it was the last run of her life. She stopped to take a breather. Her mouth was drying up but she ran all the way. Just to comfort him, to make him alright. She cursed herself for letting him go for talking to him when he was on his scooter! She ran through the automatic doors and enquired for Anant. She went to the lift but it wasn't coming quickly. She was itching away and she ran for her life up the stairs. She burst into tears when she saw him on the bed being taken into a room to rest. "ANANT!!!" She sped down the corridor to see his face, to caress his hand to try and wake him up. She thought it was an awful dream but it wasn't at all. It was reality.
