Priyanka Chopra isn't the only one hoping to forge a career as a singer. Katrina Kaif is reportedly going to sing for her supper in Yash Chopra's work in progress film, in which she stars with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
The film is Yash Chopra's first as director in eight years - his last was Veer-Zaara, also starring SRK, in 2004 - and has steallar musical support from composer A R Rahman and lyricist Gulzar. The song that Katrina will reportedly be singing is a romantic number, and while it will be her playback debut in Bollywood, it won't be her first time singing for Rahman. Katrina and Rahman collaborated on an album of nursery rhymes for charity in 2010.
Katrina also may be singing in Dhoom 3, another Yash Raj production. And gossip says that it's a race between her and Priyanka Chopra, who's going to be singing in the Zanjeer remake, to make their playback debut.
But what's Bollywood without some competition? Next thing we know, Kat will have jetted off to foreign shores to work on a solo album, just like PC.
