I agree with your post Joythi especially the part in bold. I think it was the money that DK gave him that was separate. He used it to buy Sulo's medicine.

He even gave me a glimpse of 'Arjun Kirloskar' although it was out of frustration 😉

I felt Purvi's anguish when Manav came there and my heart went out to her too. When Arjun placed his hand on her shoulder to comfort her and Archana was shooting daggers at them I got upset. At least let the boy console her 😭

Archana, this is what you want in a guy. Someone who will take charge and manage the situation. Arjun didn't falter and, even more so today, he's aces in my book! 👍🏼

Laurie

@ red - For that one moment I was so happy that we got to see the old AK! I hope he returns one day. 😭

@blue- I also felt bad for Purvi when Manav came. She immediately stood up and walked away probably not wanting her dearest Baba to give her scathing looks like he gave Arjun. But at the same time, he didn't even acknowledge her or take a good look at her. Archana will be very glad later on that she got a damaad like Arjun. I just can't muster excitement for this show. I'm just sticking around now to see how Purvi will help Arjun. She can't fight his case for him (or maybe she can since EK has shown in her other shows how the main lead fights his own case despite not being a lawyer). Maybe Purvi can take up Arjun's case. 😕

I know this is not the correct place to post, but am falling in line with some of those here...

I don't think Archana- as always, kept mum, when Manav said what is he doing here, the least she cld have said was, Arjun is the one who brought Sulo Aai here!! Gosh, she never opens her mouth to the right people at the right time...so I don't think Archana had any kinder looks after her tigress mom look saying to Arjun- leave my cub alone! Especially when he was consoling Purvi in his own gentle way..

Manav, yes, I agree, very shallow...🤢

Arjun, on the other hand, Apna Arjun, totally awesome👍🏼 handled the situation so well...I was in tears watching him part with the fifty rupee bill from his top pocket that his dad, DK, gave him as a tip...it was tough for him, but he did it, therefore yet again, shows what a big heart our dear Arjun has, and how he was unselfish in paying for all of Sulo's medicines...

Jyothi, me too watched online, and only the relevant parts!

Really appreciated that the dream sequence was from Purvi's end this time, and the hugs that Arjun gives her, totally envelopes her in his love for her, feels very protective for Purvi...

Felt 😭 As Arjun turned to go...did not want any credit, nothing...

My big question, how will the folks ie mainly Purvi find out that Arjun has gone missing, ie police station? And what will she do, Archana in PR I had gone to see Manav in jail, let us see if Purvi is allowed by the CVs and her mom to do the same? I still don't think Archana has quite had the full change of heart yet, as she still puts Ovi and Manav above Arjun, and ignores all of his genuine goodness and sincerity in love for his Purvi...

Now dear Shyamala to read your latest post...

Abhi,
I know ..that woman never opens her mouth when needed and never shuts it when needed either as we have seen before. There was not a word of appreciation from Archana to Arjun for all that he did. Used the last penny that he had voluntarily. And she let her useless husband of hers be rude to him and did not even correct him. How did she let the boy walk away like that? And this was after her mother told her exactly how Arjun helped her !! Where is her sense of fairness and justice that she claims always???
I think that sulo will want to talk to Arjun and they will start looking for him and get to know that the cops took him. Probably there was an eye witness to this.

Yes, Abhi, Arjun today showed his upbringing, generosity, his nobility, unselfishness and his innate goodness and proved himself once again that he is above all these D-family members !!

Jyoti,

"that woman never opens her mouth when needed and never shuts it when needed either" Simply priceless! As neat a turn of phrase as ever I saw; I could not have done it better myself.

@red. You have forgotten Churan. As I had mentioned in my post, Purvi will hear of it only when Churan comes running to her the next morning, for the garage owner would have gone to the hospital when neither Arjun nor the car turned up in the morning.

As for Arjun, I hope he does not continue pleading with the cops. That is something reserved in TV serials for the stunned female relatives of an arrested person. It is not for Arjun, who should now be again Kirloskar. It will be taken as a sign of weakness and will only make them contemptuous of him, especially as he has told them he is a mechanic. Then if he says he is DK's son, they will never believe him, and he might not even get to make that call. A display of cool self-assurance and dignity is what is needed.

From the Ds if anyone is ready to help Arjun, it will be Teju. These days, I sometimes catch myself thinking that he should have fallen for her; she is so much like him in spirit and would have made him a delightful companion.

Laurie,

Since you are properly repentant, you are hereby officially forgiven and welcomed back into the fold of the Protect Arjun Project. As you are a sort of Prodigal Daughter, there might even be a fatted calf, or the vegetarian equivalent thereof.

The PAP is going to be pretty busy in the coming days and weeks. Not so much to tackle the Arjun-bashers in this forum, who will be lying low for the present, for given the acute distress Arjun is suffering from right now, bashing him now might invite criticism for kicking a man when he is down. However, I see that the hardy perennial, the Two-Timer angle, is still quite popular.

Well as for your transmitting some of your inexhaustible pep and go to Purvi, that is a splendid idea, if only it works. I do not mean to discourage you, but somehow I doubt it; she seems to have had all the firebrand quality leached out of her (by the rain?) and she is now but a pale shadow of what she was in February/March.

As for me being a rockstar, I cannot think of more unlikely prospect in terms of looks and get up, but I take it that you mean it in terms of my attitude to life as a whole, and in that case I shall accept the compliment with becoming gratitude. It is not often that anyone of 60+ is called a rockstar!

Shyamala Aunty

Please don't shoot 😳 🤣 I mean no harm! *** Waves white flag ***
I only said that because not too long ago I voiced the same frustrations on another thread 🤣
Maybe I'm the one that's overshooting here and I will be the first to admit that too - only having been a spectator of Indian soaps for about six months now and not really versed in the convoluted whims of the CVs 😆
It does seem like Archana's slighting Arjun but he will rise to any challenge as he does not like to lose and this is the most important challenge of his life.
I must admit that I am hopeful for Purvi's strength based on my own life's perceptions 🤣 My parents raised us girls to be strong, independent, self respecting women and looking at these shows really boggles the mind.
So I was hoping to send Purvi some strength - telepathically of course! 😉
Or maybe by osmosis - since she's forever in the rain now 🤣
Agreed! Arjun and Purvi sharing a meal would have really been a sight to see 😍
And, Shyamala Aunty, if I haven't told you lately - YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Laurie,

When anyone begins a sentence with 'I understand how you feel' all my antennae come right up, for that is usually proof positive that he/she does not understand it at all. In your case, I will give you a time-limited benefit of doubt, and let us see if your protegee delivers.

Purvi is never going to find "her true independence" because Archana is never going to agree to her marrying Arjun. Today, Sulochana asked her, in effect, why she was bothering only about Ovi and not about Purvi, which brought her up short and made her a tad defensive. But then, when Sulochana asked her again what she would do if and when Arjun made good and turned up with the dowry, she avoided the obvious answer, and instead insisted that he would never be able to do it.

Well, that seemed to me to indicate that she will do anything she can to avoid delivering on her side of the bargain, by hook or by crook. Purvi did nothing but stand around with tear-filled eyes and look petrified of her mother. By now, I am SICK of the pair of them, and I find myself wondering why Arjun did not fall for Teju, instead of for this aai-obsessed girl . Sari duniya me yehi ladki mili thi kya?

'Once she's got Archana's blessing (which might still be a while) sky's the limit". It will be a good lo...ong while, and more like never, but 'limit' for what? If it is for demonstrativeness, then there is no difference between Purvi and the hordes of standard issue bahus and betis who populate our soaps. One may have put up with that, but for Heaven's sake, Laurie, do not make a virtue of it! You, of all people!

Laurie,
At one point, you mentioned quitting watching PR and moving to a new serial shot in london, right? Is that "rab se sona ishq"?? Come on, you were planning to replace Arjun Kirloskar with that guy??? He looks more a sensitive soft guy not the arrogant khadoos Arjun that you love :)

Welcome back to the PAP !! Looks like u are re-recruited :)

Thanks, Shyamala..It was just an impulsive statement.. but glad you liked it.
Let us see what happens to Arjun tomorrow. Hopefully this stupid track will last no longer than a week or two. I feel drained out nowadays after a week of PR, it has been a roller coaster couple of weeks. .. Credit goes to the CV's on this for the shock value, not for any logic, but just for the unexpected body angle...we could have done without this jail fiasco, but it looks like we have to bear with the recreation of the manav cycle. Hopefully, once Arjun gets out of this mess, gives her highness the 10,000 needed, he can get back to Arjun Kirloskar, whom we all miss. Enough of the slumming around. it has brought him nothing but misery... I am not sure if he is still gonna get Purvi despite all this...
how he gets out of jail is something we need to watch...despite all our thoughts and ideas I am sure the writers will come up with something totally different.
I am not so much for the idea of Arjun going for Teju. the chemistry is not going to be there, just for the fact, that their personalities and background are so similar. It is the opposites that always attract and make it so compelling and appealing.
